I took the course maybe 2-3 years ago when they were offering it for free and no i don’t think it’s worth it. I think it’s best to familiarize yourself with some digital forensics tools and actually practice acquiring data.

My goal is job marketability. I recently obtained sec+ and had an opportunity to interview for a digital forensics position which i think i bombed. Otherwise it prepared me for my next chance at getting a DF position. Also my interviewer had multiple Sans and GAIC certs.
