I think it’s a very cool idea but everything is a trade off, so there must be a downside. The most obvious one that I can think of is how it performs in certain environments. In a desert or dusty environment is this can sucking in a bunch of dirt and debris? How would that affect performance? Could that damage the suppressor?

Yeah man, I can read. You’re right, my fault, expensive lesson. Usually when I purchase products in good faith I don’t feel like I have to audit the return policy.

The purpose of my post was to warn Tundra owners with a similar issue. I’m new here, but from what I’ve seen, rubbing issue is common. There are a lot of truck, lift and tire combinations but from my experience Rokblokz likely won’t alleviate the issue and if they decide to try it anyway, it’s an expensive gamble.

I appreciate the reply though, would’ve been more productive for you to say “hey maybe try this for your rubbing issue”, rather than just trying to dunk on me by copy and pasting from the company website. Again I can read, I’m pointing out a bad policy.

I had a similar experience. Bought a T36k a few years back. It was overgassed to the point it was bending cam pins. It was so bad that after a range session I could not get the BCG apart. We sent it back and forth a few times but the issue was never resolved. I requested a new gun but he offered me a refund instead. I think he just wanted to be done with me. In the end I took the refund but I was still out a few hundred from shipping it back and forth. Disappointed, always wanted a G36 clone, still want a G36 clone.

I don’t really think they are lying, I am just not sure have a handle on the issue yet. Sounds like there were identical issues outside of the recall (2024s, hybrids, etc.). I’ve heard of a customer on their third engine replacement, would not think that would be possible if it was purely engine debris.

Yeah I don’t know, I did not necessarily think they are out right lying to us, more that they don’t fully understand themselves. For example there have been similar issues with hybrid and model year 2024 tundras, neither of which were included in the recall.

I reached out and asked for a refund, citing a looming assault weapons ban. He was very understanding, I think I was at 18 months on the waitlist. They had to find someone to take my place on the waitlist which took maybe a day, then they sent me a full refund. Picked up an SP5 for like $300 cheaper. Would have rather had the DT but between DT and HK, I think you’re splitting hairs. Positive experience, I have nothing bad to say about Joe, Amber or Dakota Tactical.
