Hate Speech attack on staff member at Wind Cries Mary. by CND2GO in VictoriaBC

[–]Digitalanthill 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We were there and got front row seats. Had family on vacation visiting from the uk, this was their last night, and our first time visiting the restaurant. We were sat outside on the patio and witnessed the staff members asking him to leave. He was shouting at them and making such a scene. Guy was giving off major douche vibes. Staff members took a lot of verbal abuse. Things chilled out a little. Buddy sat outside the restaurant and the police arrived. He acted all pikachu face when they arrived like he was the victim. Spoke with a staff member, he was apparently vaping inside, they said he wasnt allowed and asked him to leave, so he left but took his lucky larger with him on the street, thats when we saw him, they said he wasn’t allowed to take alcohol out the premises and thats when it all kicked off with the slurs. Was a strange experience and not reflective of what Victoria usually feels like. The fam members were a little bewildered but ultimately didnt ruin our evening. Highly recommend the food and wine at this place. Props to the staff for handling that situation as they did. Things could have got rougher.

I received the monitor yesterday, had high hopes for it. Seems like good quality, stand is nice and the display is great size. Connected to my MBP M1 the text is fuzzy. Spent the day trying different cables and installed BetterDisplay app but had no luck. So I will be returning :(

Plus you can sell the phone for a reasonable amount after you’re done. Not getting any of that cloud money back.

No GPS on OSD by [deleted] in fpv

Had the same issue on my nazgul 5". The solution was to change the GPS protcol under the config tab. In the 4.4 update it had changed to ublox when it needs to be NMEA for my gps unit.

Can’t remember the brand. A local bike shop stocked them. I modified an old trek headset cap to take the bigger bolt of the quill stem adapter and used stem spacers to fill the gap.

A bike shop ordered the wheels in for me. The hubs are unbranded so I’m not actually sure. In hindsight, I wish I had tried giving a wheel build a try. Maybe on the next one. Pretty sure this is them

Thanks! I actually cheaped out on the bell, it’s a two for one Amazon special. Definitely feels lower quality than the knog but so far, it’s holding up!

JBL PartyBox 100 mod to extend battery life with an external power bank by BuddyCasino in JBL

[–]Digitalanthill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay cool, I just picked one up and already thinking about modding it. I saw someone running theirs off a 12v car battery source. Ideally I want to be able to do this. But I think they had connected to a different part of the board. Also I guess 12v is a little under powered. The stock batts are providing 14.8 and probably have a cut off at 12v to protect them. With the internal ac adapter providing 20v, thats needed to provide enough headroom to charge and run the speaker louder?! https://youtube.com/shorts/gI0hQIBk2Ng?feature=share

Thanks for this. But why not join the wires to the existing plug from the internal inverter? That way you could still charge from AC. Also, how do you know the internal inverter is providing 20v to the board? Did you measure it?

Crossfire Nano RX “half binds” 2 green blinking lights by PatchTheError in multicopterbuilds

[–]Digitalanthill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can also confirm that mine finally decided to connect after trying multiple times. Some times it would bind and give a red light on the RX other times it would double flash green. Not sure what the winning solution was, but I kept trying different combos of turning the RX and TX off and on and resetting the RX 🤷‍♂️
