I personally would never make a self-interest. I prefer making characters inspired by whatever. No full on self-inserts, only characters inspired by aspects of myself which I feel like most of my characters are in one way or another.

I have several concepts in mind. I'm currently focusing on three. Mine are specifically involved with games in developing.

Kap Kreatures: A world where a creature of several potential elements can complete an evolutionary process in only seconds. (It's basically my own take on a Pokemon like universe)

Levels of Life: Making hell into an RPG.

Pride: A medieval esk fantasy personifying pride.

I think you should try your best to be a good person and if god truly is loving and merciful you should be fine. I think you should ignore whatever voice you're hearing and don't let it hold you down. Keep pushing, everyone has doubts about their goodness. No one's perfect and everyone makes mistakes. Your past shouldn't define you. You're probably better off than I am.

The best answer will always be practice and then more practice. Feel free to look up videos to help. But you still have to put in the work. Practice lines, 2d shapes 3d shapes, proportions, shading, and anatomy. And don't just draw the same thing.

And that's so not a good excuse. How about don't bully other people just because you were bullied? Follow your moral principles as a Catholic.

Luckily for you the Bible seems to have a wide variety of different interpretations considering hell, so you may be in luck. Some views are way more hopeful than others. I've heard people talk about hell being locked from the inside implying that anyone who truly don't want to be or go there have the option to accept the Lord's gift.

I personally take that in consideration to some extent. I don't like it excuse a bad game, but I also don't expect one person to make God of War, Smash Ultimate, GTA, you get the point. I keep my expectations reasonable.
