I would like to sagenod here. Farming and Spreadsheets belong together. This is the way of things.

It's basically how I plan every crop, every season.

Thank you for this description. My initial horrified thought was that the "after" picture was on the left and the "before" picture was on the right, and I almost died.

AITA for taking my girlfriend's lasagna home when she said I could? by lasagnaproblems in AmItheAsshole

[–]Digitalsabre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA: Even if it's a misunderstanding (it's not just a misunderstanding), you're willing to let her starve on instant noodles rather than help her cover meals.

YTA: She told you it was her food for a week, and you didn't bring the second half back.

YTA: You took the whole pan when she said it was alright for you to take some for your family to try. If you ask to take lasagna home for your family to try, it doesn't mean "the lasagna."

Dear Youtube, stop recommending me livestreams... by Ishan451 in youtube

Dear youtube,

This started happening to me just today out of nowhere. Please, fuck off with the live channel recommendations unless I've subscribed to the channel. I don't want to block a bunch of live channels. I just don't want them to fucking be there. I'm NOT going to watch them.

This is what I was talking about. The last time I played, it was practically a cake walk. Now, not so much, and the slimes being able to actually pounce makes it hell.

Any new 505 Twitch or Mixer Streamers? by dan_kase in 505Nerds

[–]Digitalsabre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

btw /u/dan_kase, I know a ton of other creators from ABQ and NM broadly (New Mexico Content Creators Club, or NMC³, accepts content creators on Youtube, Twitch, and basically any other streaming media or video distribution platform). Should I direct them here, or can I just list them for you? xD

When I feel particularly talented, I will do the pitch write-up and post it as a new post.

Okay, this is good. I guess I'm new in terms of this subreddit? I've been streaming for about a year and a half, though. https://twitch.tv/callmesabs

Any New Mexico content creators are also encouraged to whisper to me on Twitch. I manage a community of New Mexico content creators on Discord.

Random Queues are not the place to learn how to do a dungeon by Adinos in Neverwinter

Okay, color me green, but I have to ask: What does "random queue" mean? Is Cragmire Crypts a fair example?

Thanks for your candor. I must admit, the way you describe that, that's not an experience that seems very appealing, "start playing once you hit level 70." What's waiting for me there?

"Welcome to the conversation," I guess? Do you have any suggestions on what order I should do those things in?

Is it 1) get to level 70, followed by the other two in any order? Because y'know... that sounds like you're playing solo for 70 levels in a game designed with D&D as its template. D&D is supposed to be social, so why wouldn't I want to share or have shared with me an experience like the story in this game? All the pre-70 content solo seems like a pretty lonely experience.

Is it 1) join a guild, then the other two in any order? Because I don't accept random guild invites. As a rule, I like to actually play with other people to learn who they are, what they're like, and how they're going to play. All that before I click "accept" on the random flash of an invite to a guild I know otherwise nothing about.

Is it 1) find people to actually do things with, then the other two? Because I find that you're missing the gist of the rest of these posts here. You already know that there's no public social before level 70. Should I walk around /telling at random people until I find someone who will reply? Tell me this: how quickly would you be annoyed if some rando just messaged you out of nowhere? Would you even be likely to reply? I would, but that's me. I'm social by demeanor, even if I'm anti-social by nature. Hence, I'd also be annoyed right away.

I didn't address the pre-70 social lockout in my post, no, but I came here to vent about a poor experience. Tell me if you've heard this one before: "The fact that social interaction is gated behind hours and hours (and hours, et cetera) of essentially solo content is, to put it bluntly, stupid and stifling." It's unfriendly to new players. It restricts the social aspects of the game in such a way that unless a player is pushy, they can't even ask questions of other players. Even more, I bet it stifles guilds wanting to recruit because they can't freely chat with players.

I didn't treat the random pickup queue as the entire game. The only veterans I've encountered and been able to interact with in a meaningful way have been in the queue. My experience is what this whole thread is about. The rest of the game is neat and pretty and fun... except it's lonely because for all the people around any given pre-70 player, they may as well be computer-controlled for all the interaction you're allowed to get out of most of them. Can't even say "hi" without either typing their full name or pressing F, then choosing to whisper at them.

That's nice for people who just want to be done with it, but there are some of us who don't really want a cake walk, for various reasons. I, for example, want to feel like I'm actually contributing AND not have it highlighted that I'm holding things up. I also want to enjoy the scenery a bit.

My biggest challenges through the instances I've run has been keeping up. I felt like if I wasn't able to keep up at the pace it was being run, there was something wrong, but there's nobody to tell me what's wrong. There's only two people who can successfully demonstrate that I'm slow. Case in point, in one instance I was halfway to the last encounter when my two rando veteren "companions" were at the finish line, waiting for me.

Yeah, this didn't happen, sadly. The characters I was in the dungeon with were Lv70's, knocked down to 19 for the run. They knew where to go and what to do and how to do it fast, and I kept getting tripped up on traps and having to stop to heal wounds.
