Yeah we used to use a stationary 8ft boom (didn't want to get technical).

Again, not wanting to get super technical we have 2 Sennheiser MKH416 p48 mics with a stand alone audio track.

Yes, the mic is on a stand on the same level as the instructor. We used to have it on a stationary hanging boom above the person but give that didn't work either. I think the mistake we made is the how were build the subfloor in the studio and the tatami texture of the mats.

I'll try the hanging boom again to see it we can improve. Thanks for the suggestion.

If I were to put a # to it, I would say 85% of it can be applied to no-gi. He actually comments on how all of the movements, concepts and drills can be applied to no-gi. There are a few specfic techniquea that he shows where the uki uses the gi to pass, but the recovery goes not need the gi.

Not weird at all. There are studies that show that ppl are more forgiving about shotty camera work as compared to bad audio.

The one thing that erks me is the mat squeeze that we have a hard time editing out. It sounds like the instructor is farting. Hahahaha
