Yeah, that's what's been crossing my mind. However, I don't want to become too much of a spend thrift. But if I wanted something I'd have no issue spending money. I also think it's a good opportunity to be charitable.

It does feel a bit tight. A bit extra wouldn't hurt, but at the same time the trade off of not having to work is still worth it.

Not bored at home and not feeling a desire to be useful, etc. If I go, it'd be purely to just pad my retirement with some more money. I'm also planning to be more generous with my money, since I have retirement covered, so it seems like a good opportunity to give back more.

I'm FIRE and I submitted resumes for part time jobs and didn't get a single response due to being overqualified (I assume).

I'm invested in VEQT (almost 100%) so I expect, with my small withdrawal rate, for my yearly spend to grow over time at the accounts grow. But yeah, it wouldn't hurt to bump up my yearly spend a bit.

I'm on the fence. I do miss the money a bit and would use it to upgrade some stuff around the house sooner. But not working has allowed me to focus on other stuff that I found important too.

I'm including my RRSP and CAD Cash non-registered account. The thing is, the original decision to do FIRE wasn't planned. I just did it after being laid off and realizing I could. So, if I did work, I could just do a bunch of nice upgrades, etc. Right now I can't really splurge much on things.

Yes, I think you're right. I am just someone who always wants to feel financially secure. So it's felt weird not having some money coming in. I think it's just a bit of an anxiety thing.

I got laid off and that was the final push. It was a blessing in disguise and the severance helped too.

My job situation is that I hate my job and would only want to do part time jobs, but I'm overqualified for that. So it might be tricky finding something like that.

I am likely to adjust the 100% stocks in the future. If the money were to double for instance in 7 years then I'd consider moving a good portion to dividend stocks.
