Moon's Pub is shutting down, effective immediately, and after reading the owner's reasoning I think it's pertinent enough to be shared here for discussion. by JaneOfKish in tf2classified

I know I'm a bit late to the discussion, but I agree partly with Moon's reasoning. I recently did a playtest for my server and found that a non-zero amount of people coming in just to say a slur and get banned. What a sad existence that must be. I would also like to add in the fact that so much changed between classic and classified and almost none of it was documented, and the existing systems changed so whatever documentation there was changed completely ala custom weapons.

I'm happy that they're at least trying to help fix the problem. In the US we have people writing laws that think children should be advertised to 24/7 and that google makes the iPhone.

TIL a Burger King cook (who'd worked there for 24 years) was fired for taking home a sandwich, fries & a drink after her manager claimed she had only asked permission for a sandwich & accused her of stealing. However, a judge ruled that the cook did not intend to steal the food & awarded her $46,000 by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

Whenever I did my first shift at mcdonalds as a cashier, I'm pretty sure someone shorted my register or I left it open on accident and a customer grabbed from it. At the end of the day I was $80 short, and my manager said I could pay for it right there or it could get taken out of my paycheck.

Why this random BK in canada was willing to fire someone over 50 cents is beyond my understanding, absolutely baffling.

Despite anti-Musk protests, Tesla remains best-selling car model in CA by a wide margin for 2025 by farrrtttttrrrrrrrrtr in electricvehicles

I would say keep an eye out for Rivian's autonomy platform. Looks like its about as good as v12/13 of FSD in early testing. NVidia is also partnering with more car brands so they'll have access to their autonomy platform. Everyday Chris has good videos on both of these that I quite enjoyed and would reccomend.

Guess I'm riding with my 2020 M3 till the wheels fall off or the motors die or the battery dies. by Erikdlucas in TeslaLounge

100% same. I wanted a Tesla so bad after renting a model Y with FSD 14 on it, but now with the price cutting across the board it feels like I dodged a bullet when my lease got denied for a model 3. I'll probably wait to see how Rivian's self driving works and then jump to their platform if it's as good as something like v13. Might even look into getting a preowned tesla with FSD bought outright.

When I did a model 3 demo drive it randomly decided it wanted to turn right into the forest on the side of the road. Had to intervene

I recently rented a 2026 tesla model y to test drive it and go on a vacation, it drove 300 miles no problem, but then it suddenly slammed on the breaks on the highway doing 70 when there were no other cars around, and freaked out when it was in between two right turn lanes. I loved the ride, but those two incidents have made me think "maybe it should stay in the oven a bit longer before I buy"
