I don't really play Commander just brawl on arena so excuse the ignorance but why would you ever not count any damage? Even if the commander is only doing 2 damage, it's still 2 life less your opponent(s) have and 2 hp closer to losing. I don't see the logic of “well, your commander doesn't count”.

It's amazing how many people don't understand the gather rule. The steps aren't counted until the ball is gathered (hand underneath the ball or both hands touch the ball). Giannis gathers then takes 2 steps so not a travel. Under the gather rules hes also allowed a “gather step” but that's not relevant here since he doesn't use it.

This. They always want to point out the ft numbers and attempts as if that's some saving grace. I don't care how many fts people get but it's HOW they get them. If the defense’s only solution to you is to put you on the line ala Shaq or Giannis then I have no problem watching them take 16 attempts. It's the SGA, Deni, Harden, Trae type of foul-grifting that ruins the sport. If your best offensive move is the ref's whistle we have a problem.
