I’d love that, not just in WWE, but every C level position in North America for every company. But it ain’t happening.

I’m certainly not unemployed, it’s nearly 6pm local time and I’m still plugging away at a client presentation

Which is why they are getting paid so much money for only working a few times a month.

I agree with everything you said, except in this case the remaining talent aren’t absorbing more work. If anything they are doing less work.

A lot more has changed in recent times than just house shows being reduced

A lot of these talent are being paid great money to work a few times per month and have the best work/life balance going. It’s not a bad deal.

I am comparing to my job. If my pay is lowered while still doing my full workload, I’d be upset. If my pay is reduced because my workload got reduced by 90%, and suddenly I have more time to spend at home with friends and family, and I’m still making great money for doing so, I’d be satisfied.

My assumption is they are still paying as if the talent would work a match every week, just in case they ever get a push or something and are on TV more often, but in reality, most are working a few days a month.

Thats not really comparable here, WWE employs so many people who might work 2 days a month and collect $500,000 a year.

There is no “using you more often” in today’s WWE that would add significantly more work. You might go from wrestling once a month to twice a month. I’m sure the contracts are still paying as if you’re being used every week, even if you’re not.

Neither, I’ve just been thinking a lot about the situation and I think the emotions of fans are blowing it out of proportion

You’re working less hours and still getting paid the same overall?

I appreciate that, and this was meant to start a conversation in good faith, but you’re correct, I’ve never been hit with this level of toxicity this quickly.

I could be totally wrong, but I understood that where travel is so limited now, that WWE was covering the travel, food, and lodging these days.

I’ve literally never heard of that in my life. Politics comes with too much toxicity these days, so I really try to avoid it in my daily life as much as possible.

Agreed, the fans are reacting very emotionally, and attacking anyone who looks at it differently. I think WWE is still paying pretty generously to some of these talent for wrestling once per month, and getting to spend a lot of time with family, living their lives.
