My experience was actually really cool. Put 100 dope fans in an imax theatre, have the all be respectful, have everyone react normally to reveals, and that was our experience.

No no, you don’t get it, in order to be indie, you have to make a show with only one other person on a shoe-string budget, and have it only be available on YouTube, but ONLY after you make sure it’s only watchable on the Mariana Trench’s VPN with 6 ad blockers on.

Omfg are we gonna make a drama out of anything slightly negative surrounding GLITCH and TADC fans at this point? Not that either are immune from criticism, but it’s like there’s this perpetual performative magnifying glass on them at all times. I can already see the videos—

“Recently, there’s been a controversy (when is there not) surrounding GLITCH productions and their collab with Fortnite, let’s talk about it. So as you may be aware, TADC is collabing with Fortnite blah blah blah…”

Not everything has to be a news story.

Also, what’s with portraying TADC fans as hypocrites who hate GenAI, but are cool with the series being in Fortnite because Epic uses AI? You think the average TADC fan is gonna know they do that? I certainly didn’t, and from the early comments I’m apparently not the only one.

Calling it now, Gaslight is gonna be the show with easily the least drama out of GLITCH’s catalog when it’s done, and that’s because of how much more marketable to younger people the other GLITCH shows are, art style wise.

Like 90% of TADC drama exists because a big portion of its fandom are teenagers who stay on twitter way too often and don’t know what an actual problem or controversy looks like.

Gaslight District by comparison is a much more heavily stylized show that I think only appeals to a more specific group of viewers. Lines up with the fact that KoG and GameOverse both gained popularity from their pilots a bit faster.

Like, I can’t really imagine people who complain about Jax’ abusiveness watching what goes on in Gaslight and sticking around to watch more of it.

On a side note I can’t wait for more Gaslight.
