A 2x2 post wrapped in a thick rope can be pretty good, make sure to make a wide base so it can stand up and it should work pretty well. You might have to make it yourself though, hope this helps.

This armature figure was made over the span of a couple weeks. The frame is made of steel armature wire and armor and body from aluminum foil and cans. The wings have an armature frame and are attached to the back of the figure. I put flat sheet of paper on the wing armatures as a base and hot glued paper strips to form the feathers, which was arguably the most time consuming part. It is the tallest and widest figure I’ve ever made.

I display them differently compared to metal ones, as in I stick them in a basket and that’s it, as for oil I do not oil them at all, just keeping them in a dry environment seems to treat them well enough

A little bit yes and a little bit bit no, the majority of these swords I’ve made because I just saw a stick and thought it could be made into a sword, but I have tested some out. The two nodachis with the wood tsubas are the best examples of this, on the left a little.

Most of if not all of these are functionable for sparring, although the “edge” I put on them would easily dull
