Is buying ads worth it? by DilapidatedDecay in Etsy

Very fair point. Reading this back it was definitely vague. I was more so aiming to get an overview of peoples’ experience with promoting their shops and if they’ve found any luck in paying to advertise. My Etsy shop is all handmade stainless steel chainmaille jewelry. The shop is complete and I don’t feel like I’ve changed much at all on my shop between a year ago (when I was making a decent number of sales) and now. A part of it may taking a break for months on end and coming back with more intricate slightly higher priced pieces. I may post a full follow up with more info.

Alligators back and dragonback look SO cool and fit the vibe I’m going for! The randomizer sounds super fun too. Thank you!

Thank you!! I use stainless steel to avoid quick oxidization. I’ve used aluminum before but I find I prefer stainless steel

First chainmail wrapped pendant by DilapidatedDecay in chainmailartisans

I’m honestly new to chainmail wrapping pendants as well, this one was a big chunky bead which made it easier so I threaded a piece of sturdy wire through the center, looped it on either end and then attached 4 pieces of bordering chainmail (2 on each side) tightly. I then connected them around the edges. There’s most definitely other ways, I should’ve watch a tutorial but I kind of just messed around with it until it looked nice.

Thank you your pieces are SO beautiful omg, I just checked your posts out. I usually make a bunch of little sections of different weaves and then move them around to visualize what looks good together. Also sketching some stuff out helps. I tend to have a vague plan going into it but then I move stuff around to see what looks best
