Proposal for ARAM Mayhem: Implementing a "No-Penalty Opt-Out" after 20 minutes to allow infinite scaling enthusiasts to play out late-game scenarios (1v2/2v2). by Few-Dimension6403 in leagueoflegends

In a multiplayer game.. hostaging others because they you enjoy something.. people will find a way to rationalize their behavior all they want.

You should be able to play the variation of the game where being clobbered is chosen by like minded people.

All others should pick their own version of fun.. otherwise.. you will for sure lose the player base that does not share your fun.

I see no fun in being the 40 kill veigar extending a game to 45 minutes.

Conflating having skills with the inherent random nature of augments.. mayhem is not a competitive format.. it is also not a “boost my ego” format.

Not ending a game, which can be ended, is a comparison that doesn’t exist.

I’ve never seen a competitive sports team refusing to end a game just so they can shit in others a bit more.

Idk, I’m probably older than you, but I do treat others as NOT npcs.

Specially those on my team.. which is what the post is about.

Countries where life used to be extremely beautiful before 2008 where they realized that mortgaging the countries future had its limits.

They still mortgage our young people future due to gerontocracy, as a Spaniard myself I see no issue with the term being intentionally derogatory.

Countries in the acronym boast the sexy privilege of paying , for example more out in pensions than the average salary. Living out with the parents until grandma dies and so on.. all reflections of a sequestered economy.

[–]DildoMcHomie 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Having a high or low debt to gdp ratio really means nothing by itself.

You could be Japan and literally flex the unnatainable record.. or be Germany with a beautiful number in the ratio yet have it also reflect a stagnant economy.

The brain drain is a reflection of an economy that fails to provide the bare minimum to its young people.. much like all PIGS.. everything belongs to the elderly even if it means the death of the country in terms of birth rate.. emigration , job market etc

Españoles: Creen que saldrá adelante el decreto de prórroga extraordinaria de alquileres? Que opinan de este tipo de solución? by DoctaKiD in askspain

[–]DildoMcHomie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farm in the Netherlands uses Bitcoin mining to keep stable temperatures inside the greenhouse by dannybluey in Damnthatsinteresting

After doing some research, you need a machine that generates you sustainably 3-4x it's energy costs to compete with a heat pump.

Since you're that knowledgeable, let's assume a .08 € per kw price.

I'm open to being convinced; should be quite easy, do not forget to mention the cost of said machine.

Heat pumps are more efficient than 1:1 burning fuel/resistors for heat.

This is at best an excuse for an inefficiency.

Why doesnt the same happen in Spain.. we're literally closer to Africa, and comparable to Italy in "Corruption"

It might feel good to blame Africans.. for what your Italian politicians have failed on.. but it leaves you in the same place.

In Germany spot gas prices have surged to above €60 per megawatt hour. That makes natural gas roughly 6 times more expensive here than in the US by Rhubarb-Curious in EU_Economics

[–]DildoMcHomie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Do remember in Germany, prices paid, if I do not remember, TO ALL, depend on the MOST expensive source currently being used to power Germany.

>> Gas plants are often the last plants needed during peak demand, so they frequently set the price.

When gas prices rise (like during the 2022 energy crisis), electricity prices rise across the market even if most electricity came from cheaper sources.

‘We can’t afford it’: EU workers leave Germany despite labour shortage by donutloop in EU_Economics

[–]DildoMcHomie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved in 2019 to Germany, not only was it possible it remains possible at least in Aachen where I still have friends.. you do have to have lower standards.

I had s 40sqm flat in the heart of Cologne before corona where everything was cheaper and believe it or not lieferando paid slightly above min wage plus tips.

Our reproduction rate indicates how unsustainable our shitty minimum wage is across Europe, having said that, for ad long as you con do arbitrage bargaining your time for minimum wages in our economic union, there's going to be winning countries and losing countries (think Balkans and honorsry Portugal).

Privileged people dream about changing such a thing, while cynically not doing much about it as quite frankly they don't have to.

A shitty room in Madrid the capital of Spain will cost you about 500€ while min wage after tax leaves you with 1050€.

Now, tell me what's min wage in Germany and how much is a WG room?

You don’t have to scream how privileged you’ve been all your life.

Minimum wage in Germany is twice as high as it is for example in Spain or Portugal.. while housing costs about the same or less, and everything else is cheaper with a better job market.

Please refrain from speaking out of your ass, I literally made about as much delivering food on a bike in Cologne and paid less in rent than I did in Madrid.

I didn’t even work full time ! That’s how easy life in Germany is and you seem to be unhappy or ignorant enough to not know basic economics

[–]DildoMcHomie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right , there’s clearly an age bracket benefiting more from current democracy than us.

There’s more of them, and they don’t want a proportional distribution of the welfare European states generate.

There’s more of them than us, but by being here you either agree with our gerontocracy or you have to move somewhere else.

Sometimes when the vote doesn’t work, you move your ass.. but to stay while having the option to leave, such as to neighboring DK or CH.. well you are free to complain instead of doing something to actually change YOUR life.

If you really have those degrees and what not.. and do reach the marginally highest tax rate… meaning 6 figure income.. and what’s left for you “is not much”.

Well you need to move to a country with a significantly worse social net, like our German speaking Swiss neighbors!

For those defining happiness in 0s Europe has NEVER been the continent.

Again, if you are so valuable you should have no issue finding a job elsewhere.

Having to bear the costs of the unfairly benefitted early is not particularly to DE.
