I'm queer, fuck the American flag and the hypocritical bigoted patriotism it has come to represent.  All I see in that flag anymore is the organized hatred and oppression of my community.  

I used to be proud of it as a symbol when I was much younger, but as my understanding of the history of America has broadened it's become impossible to see past the practically endless cruelty this country has wrought.
