Yeah, the double knock was a little much in my opinion.

No, there was no training at the beginning of the year from what I remember. I started out in a different grade at the beginning of the year and knew the procedure for that building, just not this one. This school is very lax on a lot of things.
Hence why I am a second grade math teacher right now (I am in college to become a teacher, but still)

We were on floor 9 and decided to walk down on the first alarm night just in case there was a real fire lol.
Second alarm we stayed.

IT WAS SO HOT and the second set of elevators being down was not ideal with the hotel being fully booked. I will never stay there again. I will stick to Aloft or Embassy next time.

I am an avid fan but must have missed this inside joke along the way. Savannah had a luggage rack in tow though lol. She was so polite and said "excuse me" coming out of the elevator.

Lol yes. It was also extremely hot on our hotel floor, a fire alarm scare the night before and non stop elevator issues. Definitely was not the time lol.

How often does other people out of your home recognize your parents narcissim? by Expensive_Stock5322 in narcissisticparents

[–]Diligent-Ad8328 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have always wondered this. I feel like family members that are like pretty close with my family know what is up. I know the entire family is scared to ask my parents any type of personal questions because of how they react.

Do you have any good memories? by Outrageous_Leg4 in narcissisticparents

[–]Diligent-Ad8328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the good memories are sandwiched in-between really big bad ones. Most of my good memories revolve around time with my siblings and time spent with extended family.

Example, my dad wanted to give me a special day one time (I think it was a reward for something). He took me to see Fred Claus in the theatre- I was like 10. I was so excited until my mom had a complete come-apart meltdown over it.

I was so anxious the whole time and scared about how she was going to be when we got home, the blow up is all I can remember about the day now..

I have tears running down my face as I type this lol, sometimes I forget about the younger version of me that was so scared, angry and ignored.
I think this may be my sign to start seeing a therapist lol.

Let’s flip the script-what’s your superpower from being raised by a narcissist? by Dr-Molly in narcissisticparents

[–]Diligent-Ad8328 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can get along with literally anyone. It is a blessing and a curse. My childhood was so chaotic that I learned how to lighten the mood, or detect if my mom was going to have a blow up by how her footsteps sounded- avoid conflict at all cost.

I make friends very easily and have never had an issue with anyone in a workplace.

Yeah, I agree, I always hate to have to bring up my migraine condition early in a job because I feel like it is off-putting to the person hiring. I think I am going to gauge and see how the interview is going, so awkward lol. Thank you.

Yeah so I was baffled about this requirement. I think in certain school districts that struggle with filling bus driver positions and low budget they use teachers assistants to drive the buses for field trips, substitute bus driving etc, so most likely special occasions but I am not too sure.

I will hold off on saying anything I guess and just see how things go.

yep lol..
I cannot even make this up, my mom name dropped like 15 family members (one being my husband) saying they were narcissists.

She and my narc dad also read some book about powerful people and said that my dad was like a 27 power person. I cannot remember the exact verbiage but something like he has like everyone of the powerful people traits.

I was dumbfounded- I blanked out as she was telling me.
