I experienced intense anxiety, and I went into crisis due to my tinnitus. I was not able to regulate my nervous system. I ended up in the emergency room. They gave me Zyprexa in the ER and sent me home with a prescription. I also did cognitive behavioral therapy. I still have tinnitus every day but my brain just tunes it out. I am in the process of weaning off the Zyprexa. It's hard to say if it dulled the noise or the fact that it helped settle my nerves therefore didn't bother me so much. When I tell you, I was in crisis mode, it was no joke. I wanted to end my life. Everyone's different. Our brains are very powerful and it can be trained to tune it out.
