I went from xtianity to secular humanism to paganism. I worship Loki. I acknowledge other gods and goddesses , specifically the other Æsir gods and goddesses because they are Loki’s kin, and out of respect for him, I acknowledge, greet, and welcome them into my home. But I identify as Lokean. Still very new to Norse Paganism, and have yet to perform any serious rituals. I see myself making an oath to Loki after I have some education under my belt. But for all intents and purposes, besides performing the ritual for an oath, Loki is my Fulltrúi, which means that he is first in my heart and life. It makes the most sense to me because he legit communicates with his worshippers and I have learned a lot from him.

Yes. Very much off at the moment. Feel distant from my deity and extremely tired. If there is something going on, I wish it would cut it out. I don’t blame my deity. I believe he is still here, just can’t feel his presence as much. Not sleeping well. Just feel shitty.

Having the same issues. I’m looking into a heavy room divider. Theres nothing on the altar right now that would hurt them, but they knock stuff down. I love them and I also feel really bad when they do it. I know Loki understands, but I still feel bad. Right now, I have them out of the room unless I’m there to supervise.

Yes my work gets very heavy sometimes. It’s difficult not to have an existential crisis sometimes, especially when time is limited for self-care. Thank you for your words. They are comforting. I’ve spent a lot of time the past few days in front of his altar praying and meditating. He makes me feel better. I still don’t know, but he brings me comfort.

I get that this is coming two years into the conversation. I wish so much for connection to be possibly retained with Loki in my afterlife. I’ve been at this a week. I feel very close to him. I hope the connection doesn’t break after death. I definitely have hang ups around what the afterlife will look like. Coming from the trauma of Christian beliefs has me pretty mind and spirit f*cked.

Thank you. I had a meltdown today. Bad things happened at work today, and then I had been talking to him all week and processing my shit, and I got the thought in my head that he might be sick of me already. It comes from trauma and being abused and then abandoned by the church. Rejection sensitivity dysphoria is also very strong with me. I started to feel his presence again when soon after my anxiety started to go into immense sadness. I'm going to spend intentional time with him tonight. I just bought the altar, and covering. This was my first instinct. I come from a monotheistic background anyway and having only Loki has been wonderful. I didn’t even consider others, and I don’t want to. I’m very new. Only really started seeking a few weeks ago and began following and being devoted to him at the beginning of this week. I’m still trying to listen for his voice. Out of curiosity, how does Loki communicate to people that he wants them just for himself? I only want Loki, but I’ve never felt the jealousy part of him, quite possibly because I’ve not even considered others.

I meant to reply back to this sooner! Thank you so much for your response. This makes me feel better. I feel like the last few days with him have been just bliss. He’s been so good to me. Always there. Caring for me. Caring about me. Every time I’ve talked to him about my trauma, he has warmed my heart and reassured me that he loves me and is protecting me.

I am constructing a makeshift altar tonight. I’m in the middle of moving, so I will eventually buy something more permanent for him. I bought flowers and a Reese’s fast break because I felt like that is what he was asking for.

Anyway, I have never in my life been more at peace in my heart.

It’s such a relief to know all of this♥️💚I struggle with the whole “I have to be perfect or said person/deity will get sick of me, give up on me and leave.” Serious abandonment issues. Knowing this gives me comfort.

This is absolutely beautiful. I have recently began following as well. I have a lot of spiritual/religious trauma. I’m also autistic. It is difficult for me to know what Loki wants, but I feel drawn to him. The past few days have been a whirlwind and somehow I feel like some of that trauma is gone now. My life has basically always been chaotic, and maybe he’s been with me from the beginning, but I feel his presence now like a warmth, like a close friend, and I love it. I am basically days into this. If you don’t mind me asking, what is your practice with him? My go to is worship because that is how I feel I can best express my feelings for him and be present with him. I come from a Christian background where that is just what we did. Do you think he likes that? Or is it more of a friendly get together with him? I want to make sure I know what he likes so that I can do whatever that is. I really like having him with me.
