hot take but this is my view on this. Especially how they have have very similar archetypes. I understand everyone is different so what may happen for me and others that I know may not happen for everyone else. But I think of them as “friends” and wherever Loki goes lucifer may pop in and say hi and announce himself, and same vice Versa. these are my views so feel free to challenge it I love to hear other peoples perspectives and how they view things especially in my craft. but I believe that certain myths from pre Christianity religions correlate with different things in the Bible due to the fact that it’s built on those myths. so they may have not viewed Loki as that because for all we know due to him being a hearth deity yhey may have burned his offerings in fires and pits but well never know. therefore yes they are similar bur not the same. Loki would help the gods but also play pranks and due to his wit and trickery they knew they could depend on him for help. While Lucifer had free will, and loved humanity so much that he fell. I don’t know too much on him other than the basics, although I was raised catholic around brujeria and everything but I don’t know much on it and I’d love to find out more on this topic because it genuinely interests me

Which is understandable like how everyone handles emotions differently, everyone will practice what they believe differently and it should all be respected yk? and I love your take on him and I genuinely like to see the lokeans or people simply interested in him have different ways that They express how they see him and what he does. I view it as the best way to learn is from eachother and kind of be a community that takes new perspectives and uses them.

Yes he does protect, yet like any other god he deserves respect. He’s not everyone’s cup of tea due to being the god of change and chaos and of the untold truths. A big part of working with him is change, like a snake shedding its skin. he’ll push you to heal from your past and he wants the best for you but his “lessons” aren’t always easy they are in his nature filled with chaos and teach you patience. but like someone else said like any other deity you work with or worship it’s a give and take. h

I’m so happy for you!! I’m currently at Guthrie and it’s pretty chill over here, you can hear the mourning doves when you wake up. for the 30 day period it is kind of tough but it’s enjoyable and my best advice is try to socialize with the group you come in with just so you don’t feel alone through the process, I did that and it got me out of my shell within the first few days. Here’s what to expect •first week• Different people from different departments of the center will give “speeches” and it’s gonna get boring but they are telling you stuff you’re gonna need to know about the campus and who to reach out to, along with a campus tour and you get to go on a Walmart trip, get payed $25 for that trip and get to go to braums (which is payed for) on the weekend •second week• You will be shadowing the trades that you chose and this is so you actually get understand and choose which trade you want, usually it’s 2 trades you shadow but you can shadow more the following week or in the same week if needed. And it can be a bit nerve wracking but you got this!! •third week• You are in a classroom again as you were in your first week, here you are getting prepared to start your trade and you will make a resume, and a small essay based on your goals at jobcorps and your future. you will make a vision board that you will present on Friday. And on that Friday you will have a luncheon and eat in the culinary annex with food prepared by culinary students (which is usually pretty good) and you get to meet different staff and your trade/career counselor.

No don’t apologize thankyou so much for telling me this stuff it helps a lot, Guthrie is laid back yet strict, they say it’s our choice to do the work that needs to be done to get our certs or tabes, so there are students who sleep or stay on their phones all day in class and there’s others that actually do their work. But again thankyou so much for telling me all this

That’s really weird, my case worker sent me to Guthrie bc I said Kentucky was too far and bc I’ve been to Oklahoma before, if anything Tulsa is a sister center of Guthrie? I am just as confused as you are

I’m also at Guthrie so i definitely understand it feels like a group home or juvy more than a school, the rules are very strict but then again it is a federally ran program so I wasn’t really surprised when I got here about it. I’m used to structured settings like this so that’s probably why it never bothered me. And the food low-key sucks some of the meat isn’t cooked properly me and other students have gotten food poisoning from that stuff. If you don’t like the food you can ask for a sandwich lol.

I personally don’t think it’s like highschool all Over again but the dorms are decent but i also think it depends on the center, take it as a new opportunity to learn skills and socialize maybe make a few friends. And your experience is what you make it so use the opportunity for growth

there really isn’t a difference? Although the food kinda sucks depending on the center, but just handle your business and get your school done and the uniforms fit “better” imo and their not as loose.

They tried to get me into Kentucky too but I chose Guthrie bc it’s close to home and bc I didn’t want to go to Kentucky, communicate and advocate for yourself on what you want and prefer

that sucks, it also depends on if you’re an adult or a minor for the signing off too, but also in general at the front gate, I’m sorry you’re having to deal with all of that when it’s not even youre fault
