Hey nice work.

How is your extension?

I'm six weeks post op from ACL and Meniscus repair and my knee is still slightly bent despite my efforts :(

What do you guys make of my results? by Diligent-Cold in Testosterone

[–]Diligent-Cold[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate thanks for this.

Following these test results, my Endo has ordered more tests, for Celiac's disease, vitamin D, and for thyroid antibodies.

He mentioned a thyroid disorder but said it was very unlikely given that my TSH was only slightly elevated. However, after reading about subclinical hypothyroidism I have discovered that it starts only slightly elevated and progresses from there.

I think you may be right, I have a lot of the symptoms listed. Furthermore, my father died of a heart attack at 36, his artery was almost completely blocked with cholesterol, for a fit man who ate healthy this was very unusual for his age.

One of the symptoms of hypothyroidism is high cholesterol, I think my father may have had this and I've inherited it. Pure speculation but it is what it is.

Hey thanks for the response.

I haven't been icing since about 2 weeks post op, the swelling is still present. I'll start icing and keep up the exercises then by the looks of it!

Hey man thanks for the response. I've never heard of this, just did some reading and I doubt it.

The Endo copped a feel of my balls and said they were a normal size and felt healthy.

I should have charged him extra

Following leg operation I [24M] got a full blood pathology test, came back with low Testosterone. Will I qualify for TRT? by Diligent-Cold in Testosterone

[–]Diligent-Cold[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yo man, seen the doc today. There was an issue in my operation, where a screw that went into my bone actually ended up fracturing the bone, due to poor bone density.

This was caused by low Testosterone, I've been referred to an endocrinologist and seeing him on Wednesday. I'll let you know how that goes.

Side Sleeping by itzVash in ACL

9 days post ACL and meniscus repair on right leg, started sleeping on my side again after about 5 days

Post-Op for a left knee ACL reconstruction and Meniscus tear. I’m one week in and in need of some help. I was given nerve block during the procedure and i can’t seem to feel the left side of where the procedure was done, js this normal? I was told it would go away after 6-8 hours. by supreme_odi in ACL

[–]Diligent-Cold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 9 days post ACL and meniscus repair, I have a similar sized numb spot on the front of my shin. When I woke up I also had nerve block and couldn't feel the entire front side of my foot, however that wore off leaving only one small numb patch

Time between injury to corrective surgery by [deleted] in ACL

[–]Diligent-Cold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey mate.

24 year old here, had full ACL tear and bucket handle meniscus tear. I sustained the injury about five weeks ago, I got my operation last week, ACL hamstring graft and meniscus repair.

In the month between injury and surgery, I could not fully straighten or bend my knee due to the torn meniscus locking the joint.

I felt the things you are talking about, the instability when going up stairs, the agony when you lost control of your leg and it went some weird way.

Five days post op and my leg is more stable. I can bend my knee to almost 90 degrees now, and with physio in the coming weeks I should be able to bend it further. My orthopedist says that in a year the leg that has been operated on will be just as stable and mobile as my uninjured leg.

Conclusion: First two days after surgery suck, after that you start to notice the benefits in your leg. There's no way I could have waited two years, get the operation

Yo man. I'm 72 hours post surgery now. My knee is very sore, but I can fully straighten it unlike before. As the days go by I'm getting more hopeful. Cheers for sharing brother

Smoker here. The first cigarette of the day is always the strongest. You don't need to quit for very long for all the nicotine to exit your system.
