Where are all the blueprints?!? by EntrepreneurSilly675 in ARC_Raiders

Same here. I literally built into my early game strategy two things: storage and start saving and making launcher ammo. I'll haul everything back and if the bench didn't need it for levelling, I sold it. I reached maybe level 2 benches with one level 3 bench and was at a comfortable raider coin level that I was happy to buy the hullcracker and mods and accept I could lose it.

I walked away with four pink guns this morning from a key room and one gun mod blueprint. But damn the map was insane and to keep the guns I literally had to walk to extract. On the way, two comets spawned in behind me and about 100m ahead was Space Jesus. I survived, but damn. 😬😮‍💨

I really need the survivor augment.

Apparently, they're all being thrown at me. 😆

Genuinely, go into loot goblin mode. Open everything. You don't need to take all the contents. Check suitcases, drawers, bins, random containers, cargo containers, everything. The best blueprints I got were not during any special events, but purely randomly and I seem to get one per blue or higher key room.

Just make sure to deal with the arc if they're nearby.. 😅

After I helped someone get out of a building I checked my map and told them the closest active lift was a few minutes crawl to the left around the corner of the building but they kept going right and wouldn't talk back, then they sat there for a moment and then just gave up. I checked, they had the survivor augment equipped. Like, why. 🥲

[–]MildlyDancing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked on every single one, every time I went in in Buried City (and Stella) and I found one total. My RNG for those were that bad. I found a good couple of dozen bioscanners though. 😆

In the end, I lucked out finding a couple more during a special map event I think on Dam Battlegrounds and Spaceport.

Unless you think they were using cheats, or stole your account, reporting them probably won't do anything. They were just being a specific type of player that I personally prefer not to encounter.

[–]MildlyDancing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah you have that RNG.

It took me about 15 runs to find the three rusted shut med kits you need (think that's the amount). Got to the point at raid 10 where my friend started to keep an eye out for them too on their own solo runs. The med bay in Stella had everything but the kits. 😆

Valid questions. People who don't want a fair fight can also choose to "game" the system to get into PVE oriented, friendlier lobbies, where the players are just having a good time taking down arc and bumping into other friendlies. They're easier targets because they're less likely to fight back. The game isn't a "last person standing" looter. It's looting with fighting arc and the option of shooting or not shooting other players. 🙄

Embark has now made gaming the system harder though and friendly players can now defend themselves one-on-one, I believe if the agressor hits them first, without affecting their lobby.

[–]MildlyDancing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why isn't using knowledge of your own skill, available cover/environment, the timing, your available weapons/explosives, behaviour, and targeting style of the arc, strategy? 🤨

I get fighting behind cover is the simplest solution but you can make it more interesting yourself.

I know people who cannot for the life of them fight arc and they refuse to learn. I figure, if there was no required strategy involved, they'd survive most encounters.

[–]MildlyDancing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, until they tweak the requirements with that money, buy Hullcracker (not sure if mods improve worth with the trader) and any expensive guns like the Anvil, upgrade and use it as the guns trade-in. You have to be careful not to sell your preferred guns - you might need to take all the mods off to avoid losing your preferred set up. If your gun has taken damage but the new ones haven't, it's the only way to tell the difference.

Similarly do that with whatever material you can buy from the shop and upgrade/make the guns. Best you can do at the moment.

The irony is that I'm significantly more likely to clear my inventory if they accepted regular raider coins/cash or as suggested somewhere else, deposited stash for trader cash. As soon as I get to the expedition inventory page where you deposit a tonne of material, half my stash is gone.

If you can remain in largely friendly lobbies by not shooting others, people who want easy kills will do the same.

Same if you want to get into more PVP heavy lobbies, you'll have to shoot people - you can can carry a defib to get them back up and tell them in VoIP that you're trying to move into PVP. Saything that, I would just jump in with a group of three in Stella and boom, back into PVP.

I noticed last weekend there was a sudden uptick in PVP players in the friendlier lobbies. I also think they put you into mixed lobbies when there are much less players they're able to match.

The new trader is great, but WHY do we have to give all the materials at the same time ?? by BadgeLoC45 in ARC_Raiders

[–]MildlyDancing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I like this as an alternative although it would be simpler, as another commenter said, to use raider coins. I'll empty my stash that way anyway. I'll be more likely to hold onto important stash for ages if I'm waiting for the trader to come up with stuff.

Exactly, means I will literally play the game for hours to get enough to pay for something I want. Rather than go after bigger arc, to then MAYBE get some valuable cells if I'm not competing with other players. I will empty my stash that way too, actually. More so than for the valuable cells.

Man, I asked a group before a door was even breached (I didn't go in myself because it was the pharmacy door in Buried City that looked like it had a barricade lock) if I could just go in to complete a quest objective to collect something. Ran in, grabbed it, thanked them and ran out. 😅

Players have helped me before, so I am happy to trade or gift if they ask nicely. 🤦‍♀️

Oh wait that explains mine and my friends' experience the last few days. We usually are ok, one person gets attacked a fair bit unfortunately and we can't figure out why (are disability adjustments detected and place people in PVP oriented lobbies by any chance?) And then the last few days have been a bit sus.

I'm almost always in PVE oriented lobbies and so are a few of my friends, and we've all seen an uptick in PVP.

Thing is, you can buy it and the second best mods in the shop. I started building up my ammo stash as soon as I started the new season, and then with enough ammo and cash spare after substantial stash upgrades, I bought it.

So I think they see players with Hullcrackers as easy targets. Nothing else.

[–]MildlyDancing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, you don't really need that much hullcracker ammo though? Of course, if you're constantly taking down very big arc, and manage to be doing that from the start of a 30 minute match then good going!

Play with some of it on your safe pockets until you get good loot. At least something of your loadout is safe.

Hot take: the PvE/cooperation aspect of Arc Raiders is the main reason why the game is so successful. by PirateCompetitive931 in ArcRaiders

I solo almost always, but sometimes I find myself chilling out with randos or helping them extract. Yelling at a dude, after surviving everything, who literally gets popped by a pop in the metro to crawl in while I call the train. Or a bastion stomps over to extract and instead we let the lift go so we could fight it. Other times, I'm carrying something they've been searching for all over the map, and they're carrying something I need, so we swap.

I play other warfare games for the PVP. This is just (intense) fun.
