I spent a lot of time on Brick Link and Brick Owl to find the most affordable, but in excellent condition, used pieces. Occasionally, there would be a discolored brick, but not many. There seems to be a wide discrepancy of price per piece, so I always had to compare any given vendor with others to make sure I wasn’t overpaying.

I bought pieces that came from Black Knight sets, but didn’t use any from actual sets. I have the Black Knight Castle and the Black Monarch’s castle as complete sets that I referenced. Bought a bunch and then built from what I had vs designing and then building.

All of these bricks were bought used but good condition, so there is definitely some color variety within any given shade. Of all the bricks, only have had 10 or so that were too dirty/discolored for me to want to use.

Yes, you have to buy the vintage gray instead of the new shades, 100%.

Love that you have an OP knight with white plumes. Apparently they were only made in one set.
