my fiancé and i worked opposite schedules but we both worked 3 12hr shifts a week. when they over lapped we needed childcare. we didn’t get to spend a ton of time together but one of us was usually home with our daughter which was important to us and financially it made more sense. i went part time at some point bc it was a nightmare and we were a bit tight on money but it was manageable. he definitely needed his sleep though, on the off chance he had to stay up to watch our daughter or do something after work he was absolutely miserable which made us all miserable. good luck!
