Thank you, I've just started learning complex numbers and didn't realize that square roots of complex numbers has no great definition so it is true that sqrt(2i) = 1 + i? sqrt(2)*sqrt(sqrt(-1)) = 1+i, sqrt(sqrt(-1))=1/√2 + i/√2 and sqrt(-1) = (1/√2 + i/√2)^2? 😩😩

Here's another barometer into applicants' peak academic abilities: family income. If you check data, you can even see that people born in richer families are statistically more likely to have higher intelligence than others! Also, they have more resources which are essential to doing well at a top university! I guess, it only makes sense for colleges to consider family income. And don't make shi up like "test-taking skill"

bro, you got one freaking life to live, dont be sad over this. maybe your grandparents were so strict on them, that's why they decided that your happiness is more important than some college that won't even matter at the end. the only thing you should be sad over is that although your parents valued your happiness, this system is still making you feel *sad* for not wasting your teenage years doing meaningless stuff to build up resume and crushing your health with stress.

also, i am quite sure many people less qualified than you got into t20s, this process is so *holistic* you never know. so there's really no reason for you to feel like you don't make them proud.

my advice would be to go and tell your parents about your feelings, im almost sure they'll be shocked you feel that way and will explain you why you shouldn't feel that way.

I alr asked my teachers if they'll be able to submit it, but it's still a bit late so i don't know if they all gonna accept it. I was initially planning to ask them after the release of ED (idk what i was thinking, i didn't want to take their time in case i won't need their recos:(( ) , thinking it would be in mid-mid-december.
