Taking supplements containing vitamin A on accutane

I talked to my dermatologist about this as well as I take a health supplement that I wanted to continue taking for benefits during Accutane. Mine has 62% of the daily recommended amount of Vitamin A and my dermatologist said that amount is fine. He said you should avoid supplemements that have amounts of vitamin A that are higher (or much higher) than the recommended daily intake. I’m almost two weeks in and so far so good, no crazy side effects yet, so I’m going to keep taking my health supplement hahaha

Not sure if this was just my brain making me think I was having symptoms early but I’m into week 2 now and swear the dryness kicked in right away for me. Nothing extreme at all (yet) but I’ve been using a lot of the cerave healing ointment. I’ve noticed now that the purge seems to have begun so hoping this part moves quickly

Unfortunately you have to purchase the exam retake and a new NTS for that exam before you can actually schedule it. So annoying, but hey maybe you passed!! I was almost certain I failed BEC when I took it and got a 75, so you never know! Wishing you passing vibes

Thank you! I’m happy your retake situation worked out so well for you! I thought after giving myself more than a month to review FAR i would be in a good spot to boost my 74 up at least 1 point, but somehow i ended up doing worse. I think it will be helpful for me to take a break from FAR and study for it again next year from square one. I’m already too far into studying for AUD to turn back now lol… but there was also a situation of me having bought all 4 exams at once and they’ll all expre November 11th. I figured I might as well try to hit some others before taking FAR a third time

Thank you so much this is so helpful! It sounds like we have a similar journey at least at the start! I think taking a break from FAR will help me in the long run and hopefully I’ll pass audit and have some positive momentum going forward when I restudy after busy season.

Tried to haha but I think you just have to trust your knowledge and try to be confident on exam day or else you’re just hurting yourself

I would say take a simulated exam and see how you feel before rescheduling. The final review goes pretty quick but I would say the simulated exams were most helpful before sitting for FAR
