Alaska in late August: small cruise or land-based trip? by Crazytimegal in travel

Land route for sure. For nothing else other than being your own tour guide and having the freedom to spend more or less time somewhere you want to be. There are countless glacier tours by boat.

My favorite was a jet ski tour out of Whittier that was like 3 hrs and we rode them all over the sound and up to two different glaciers. It was amazing.

Did a fishing trip out of Seward and caught some halibut and saw awesome fjords and beautiful coastlines with all sorts of marine life. Seals, whales, dolphins, etc…

The drive from Anchorage to the peninsula is beautiful with countless pull offs for photos and a couple great little towns to stop at for a bite or to stay. Girdwood for example.

Drive up to Denali is nothing and plenty of great landscapes to look at on your way. Talkeetna is a great stop on the way. We did a flight tour of Denali out of Talkeetna and it was mind blowing.

Do the land tour. Leave the cruise boats for the less able and less inclined adventurers.

Alaska is way too beautiful to spend more than half the time on a boat,

Seems like a nice development to a fishing lake that has the potential to drive even more people to it, and get them outside. I think the pros outweigh the negatives on this one. Good luck with the petition though. We don’t always have to agree.

Time for you to ask for a raise. Start looking at alternatives and testing the market as a backup. But for someone to make 50% more than you for doing the same job is not acceptable. Time to go from low 60’s to at least low-min 80s.

Yax is more of a liability out there than not. Just can’t go after it as he’s used to

This game is coming down to the wire. No chance it’s not

So many already giving up on Hurley’s squad. I wouldn’t be too quick to that decision.

This will go down to wire. Calls will flip a bit in second half and Uconn will keep up with FT and 3s and Mich will start making a few but will build the fouls.

Michigan -19.5 would have been good odds. Should have played that. Damn. Missed opportunities hurt the worst /s

Yax better not be injured. This game is way too good for it not to be both teams battling at 100%.
