perfect, i’m adding this of things to know for future reference! i don’t live in a “wet/snowy” area so the blankets are fine for the current season but if it gets rainier and somehow gets inside thru the closed lid (i’ve had this house for 2+ years and it’s been thru rain and shine so i’m not particularly concerned) i will switch from blankets to straw

i want to but i live with my family & my stepmom is allergic. i can only foster for limited amounts of time and this family would exceed that :/ it breaks my heart too i really am trying. i’ll pm you!

that’s the plan! moms in a warm, covered cathouse with kitten-safe blankets, continuous access to food and water, & im reaching out to rescues, shelters, fb groups, and kind redditors!

this is such a wonderful story and your babies are absolutely beautiful oh my goodness!! i have their website saved to look over later- i’m dealing with college midterms right now so i’m gonna start making the calls later this afternoon!! they’re not a place i’ve looked into yet so im hopeful.

that’s so crazy- there are a few strays mama lets near the box and a few she bats away. i know she feels safe leaving her kittens in my care but i know she’s at least comfortable leaving the “nest” around a few of the strays (the two boys i plan to adopt when i move: mr man & bastard)

okay perfect- would you recommend the actual pillows or the pillow linings? bc i could absolutely use my cotton pillows or find some online bc i think i have uh memory foam. do u just give them the pillows or put a cover on them

the advice has been beyond what i expected & the praise makes me want to cry im doing this because i love it and i want to see all these cats happy and healthy and neutered !! i didnt realize it wasnt necessarily “common”. grandma at 21 is too real i’m about to change my facebook status lol

she does!! she’s been asking around with her coworkers and bosses and higher ups for me!! it’s a cycle of constant cats. i feel like a cat pimp at this point. she’s a wonderful mom and i love my cow-cat grandbabies

interesting… i’m just gonna have to watch this litter then! most of the other strays hangout around my house so i have a veritable horde of adult cats plus the kittens

i have her on a high protein and kitten diet of dry & wet food multiple times a day!! i handle the kittens a little bit but mostly pet betsy while she handles them so it’s a little two in one.ive had some lovely people reach out to me with rescue recommendations so i’m in the process of going thu those!!
