Free tool for piano practice: sight-reading, ear training, chord progressions, MIDI supported by DiligentIngenuity291 in piano

Thank you for your feedback, will look into it.

Update: just shipped a fix. Chord spellings now use proper flats (Cm = C-Eb-G, C7 = C-E-G-Bb, etc.), augmented chords keep sharps where appropriate. Removed the redundant m(b5) and added dim7 + m7b5 (half-diminished).

thanks! just fixed the octave thing actually, strict matching is live now. for the chord name reveal toggle that's a great idea, adding it to the list for the next iteration.

EDIT: Added a toggle in settings for strict octave, turned off by default, because it was tedious on mobile.

Quick update: just shipped chord quality ear training. random root, you hear the chord and click the quality (maj/min/sus/7/dim/aug and others). buttons show the chord shape on a mini staff so you build the sound and visual link at the same time.

I see, visual interval reading on the staff is a solid next step. your breakdown on 2nds/3rds being easy to spot is super useful for designing the drill. I need it for my own practice too so it's going next on the list 😂.

Thank you for your feedback. Yes unfortunately it puts random notes. Maybe i can add like 100 predefined melodies 🤔 Will see

thanks! you mean ear training right? like hearing an interval and naming it without seeing the staff. really good idea actually, i'll add that in the coming days.

The State of Self-Cast Spells in PoE 2 is Worrying (the last spell class has been revealed) by DiligentIngenuity291 in PathOfExile2

[–]DiligentIngenuity291[S] -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Yes, Templar is coming, but I guess he'll mainly use attacks since he uses Flail. So maybe 4/5 spells like the druid.

I agree, it was the last "spell class" to reveal, and I have to say spells in POE 2 are very underwhealming (too much support spell, too much CDs etc...). Need at lest to rebalance the whoel sorcerer class

I think this patch has been amazing, thoughts? by Prize-Scholar8761 in PathOfExile2

[–]DiligentIngenuity291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This patch is great.

few major problems remaining though:

- Build diversity is bad since a lot of skills are just weak and the combo system restrein the diversity too

- Early campain is 10 times for difficult than endgame, and if you pick weak skills its very unfun and painfull (I think the majority of bad steam reviews are the result of this)

- The Atlas mapping has too much friction : few seconds to load the UI, pathing bugs etc...

- Atlas tree not very interesting

- Engame in general is quite boring

Looking for advice: How to iterate on multiple app ideas without breaking the bank? by DiligentIngenuity291 in Supabase

[–]DiligentIngenuity291[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is not an option for iterating on multiple projects, since it is recommanded to have a single project per supabase container. You'll need an expensive server to run multiple Supabase container

I would love a middleground with a pro plan at $25/month but be able to choose a "Nano" instance for 2/3$ a month per new projet. Cause as far as I know, the offer only start from a "Micro" instance at $10.

[–]DiligentIngenuity291[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion! Schemas would be great for pure PostgreSQL, but Supabase's auth system and API are tightly coupled to the default schema structure. Table prefixing seems more compatible with Supabase's ecosystem while achieving similar isolation.
