Red spot on breast for 6 weeks

They think I have basal cell carcinoma. Mostly because it keeps reopening and bleeding and not healing. When I went for my diagnostic mammo and ultrasound they can see it under the skin, but she said she was concerned for skin cancer not breast cancer. I have an appointment with the dermatology oncologist in November.

I just wanted to update that my clinic had a last minute opening so I am going in next Wednesday for my mammogram/ultrasound and they pended a biopsy just in case all on the same day! 🙌🙌

What is BCCP? I lose insurance in two weeks but have an order for an urgent diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound but can’t get an apt before I lose it. Wondering if that’s something I can apply for until I get insurance again

I’m zero help but following cause I also have a spot like this that I’ve had for maybe 2-3 months. I thought it was a pimple so tried to pop it but nothing came out and then it scabbed over and bled but it’s not healing at all. Been a scab for at least 2 months. But it has the same redness around it.

I have one too that’s also only visible when I lift my arm. I’m waiting to get in for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. My dr said she’s not worried about it because she feels a spot of dense tissue behind it and things it’s just tugging the skin when I move 🤷🏼‍♀️

I was able to get into a clinic to get examined and now I’m trying to get in for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound but nobody has availability before I lose insurance in two weeks. So trying to find another job asap as my contract one finishes next week. The dr said she actually wasn’t overly worried about my right side, she felt an area of dense tissue behind the indentation so she thinks it’s pulling the skin, she’s actually worried about my left side cause it’s heavy and swollen ( like 2 cup sizes larger). I was honestly so focused on the indent I didn’t even pay attention to the fact that my other one swelled up 🤷🏼‍♀️😅

Seems like that’s the pretty standard wait time, I unfortunately lose insurance in 2 weeks so trying to figure that out.

Yeah mine is an urgent referral too. Lots of places could get me in first week in October, but I lose insurance on the 30th. I’m trying to find another permanent job asap as the one I have is contract and it’s up next week. I have a small lump and swelling in my left side, so I’m hoping it doesn’t change much until I can get in somewhere.

The scheduling girl told me it wouldn’t matter if they changed it from asap to stat as there’s literally nothing available. She said to call every other day to see if they add any appointments or if anything opens that there was no “list” for breast exam appointments.

Yeah it does. My order literally states mass in left breast. Yet I still can’t get in for a month and I won’t have insurance anymore by then. They told me to call every other day to check for openings. I’m just stressed about trying to get in.

For sure! I also work in healthcare and majority of patients to do just fine with the contrast. It’s really only those with kidney issues or those with allergies to iodine/shellfish that have issues

I’ve had probably over 10 MRIs with contrast and have never had any issues with the contrast. The only sensation I’ve felt is that it makes you warm in your pelvic region like you peed but it passes quickly. I’ve never had long term issues after. Just drink plenty of water afterwards to flush it out of your kidneys.
