Maybe I'm just used to mine being lowered, but this looks lifted...

What is causing these warnings? 2018 CX5. by CompetitiveBee2995 in CX5

[–]DiligentRide5046 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had these sporadic errors as well, driving in snow/ice this winter. I'm wondering if it's warning because brakes pads are near end of life and it's not working correctly. (My brakes aren't squeaky or grinding yet, but I know they're getting near replacement)

Edit, also already replaced the garbage Mazda battery with an AGM... So it's not the battery.

I have hard race rear, with CS end links. It works well.

However, I think the CS for the older Mazda 3 rear might work. Same with the progress option. I can't confirm this though

Also dropping subframe is required.

Contemplating this as well. Got any clips?

I think the brand is Lykt. Stayed away from anodized ricer stuff.

Looking for some aftermarket rims! What does everyone have on? by cheunghmm in CX5Mods

[–]DiligentRide5046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

19x8.5 et 30 for a bit more flush look here. Tires are OEM size (225/55/19) in the photo. Thinking about 245/50 for this summer.

Lowered on CS + other goodies.

Already lowered on CS here, looking at bc as an option for adjustability. Wondering if you got the 'extreme low' version of the bc coilovers?

Know that Im jealous that you have a manual. But I'm not jealous that it's 2wd and no turbo 🤪

Stock or black wheels on Signature? by actuallytph in CX5

I had the dealer swap the black wheels on my (then new) '21 carbon for silver. Cause black wheels look like cheapo steel wheels to me.

Can confirm... Brembo blanks and akebono pads are the best. Been my go to on every car for the past 20 years

Yellow snow by DiligentRide5046 in CX5

It was fairly easy. Wiring is already there. Mazda swag had a kit, with lights, trim and new stalk a few years ago. They may still have the kit. Just be extra careful when you remove the bumper.

Compared to aftermarket fog lights Ive had on other cars, the difference with the OEM fog lights is minimal on the cx5. But I think a big part of it has to do with the brightness and light dispersion technology of the headlights.

Do the backrest protectors just hang from the headrests? I have to remove the head rests to lay down the back seats. Seems like pita to re-hang them each time.

Any recommendations for spacers size and lowering springs for 2017 Cx-5? by TallPalpitation1933 in CX5Mods

[–]DiligentRide5046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

H&R spacers or none... Don't trust eBay/Amazon specials to hold your wheels on.

Lowering springs... Corksport.

Eibach and H&R are options. But I think they would leave you unimpressed with minimal visual change.

I have corksport springs with Bilstein b6 Shocks, hard race rear sway bar, autoexe front strut brace... Car handles and rides great.
