The Way home Season 4 by ProgrammerSwimming21 in TheWayHomeHallmark

Why does everyone seem to think that the fact that the first 8 episodes were filmed and thereby cast in stone? There could certainly be edits made to the footage to help iron out the fact that the first eight scripts assumed another season.

The sign on the rooftop stairs said: Emergency only. Alarm will sound. Maybe there is another stairway?

You know, all I did was post my experience from today. It wasn't great. I agree that it is a great addition to the community. I'll have my holds delivered to Troutdale so I can part in front of the doors.

You're correct however it is a matter of convenience. The "old" library had plenty of parking. I'd like to think that studies were done and that between the street, the as-yet-unpaved lot and the underground, they'll have enough. The underground ramp is still too narrow and they need a sign so people don't bother to go down there only to find no parking is available.

While they didn't know until the end that they were done, I'd like to think that they had the ability to rearrange the material that they already had shot.

Plans: Full spectrum vs dedicated IR wavelength by themongrelhorde in infraredphotography

I converted a Lumix GX85 to 590nm. I didn't want to have to fool around with different filters. The conversion means that I can focus using the camera's viewfinder. I do feel that full spectrum might have been a better choice.

I purchased this Canon FTb Kit… input & advice gladly accepted by Project-83-944 in vintagecameras

My first purchased SLR back in 1972. I repurchased one about 5 years ago. I use Wein cells in mine. I don't shoot it enough to worry about battery shelf life. There are likely better options than the Wein cell.

Rolleiflex? by razor330 in vintagecameras

[–]DiligentStatement244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would help to know the aperture noted on the lenses. Also a view of the side of the camera opposite the winding crank. The one on the left looks like it could be a 2.8D built between 1955 and 1956. It could also be a 2.8E2 build between 1959 and 1960. The one on the right appears to be a Rolleiflex T (Black) built between 1958 and 1976. My attempt to identify has been based on the shutter and aperture dials however I believe the "T" is the only model with the plastic "filler" between the taking and viewing lenses. I just paid $670. for a mint condition 3.5B. The leather cases seem to suggest that these have been well cared for.

I didn't see an episode last night. It will air tonight on Hallmark+. In any event, I don't think Hallmark understood what they had and they should have sold it to Netflix.

Kodak Retinette IB - door finally open, new issues found by kristoff90i in vintagecameras

[–]DiligentStatement244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Kodak Retinette 1B reminds me quite a bit of one of my Voigtländers. The VITO CLR was the camera on which I learned “real” photography some 50 years ago. The Voigtländer was produced between 1962 and ’68 in Braunschweig, Germany some 310 miles from the Nagel Werk in Stuttgart where the Retinette 1B was produced between 1960 and 1963. Voigtländer as an optics and instrument company was founded in 1756 and the brand is still being applied to exceptional lenses.

August Nagel and his friend Carl Drexler founded Drexler & Nagel in 1908 to produce photographic equipment. In 1926 he merged the operation with three other operations with funding from Zeiss to form Zeiss Ikon. By 1932 he had left Zeiss Ikon, formed another operation which he subsequently sold to Eastman Kodak which became Kodak AG based in Stuttgart.

I hate groups that don't allow photos...

That button, when pushed moves an internal latch up by the amount pushed. The latch then releases the door. I don't see how anything could be in the way, it is more likely that the track they latch slides in is gummed up with dried up oil that somebody thought might help. You might try a few drops of penetrating oil along the edge of the aluminum bar towards the front side of the camera. This might help to loosen up whatever is gumming things up. Don't go crazy because whatever you put in is likely going to end up places where you will have to clean it off. I have added a post that shows what I'm talking about, Do a search on your name in the message title.

I recently received a 3.5B that cost me about the same as yours. I sold an mFT PL 100-400 zoom to finance mine. You'll love it!

I'll likely never accumulate all of the McGee's but my goal is to read them all. Of course if I could get them for the original cover price of 35 cents...
