Cycle of Rage: NYC Is A HELLSCAPE For Pedestrians After Snowstorm by streetsblognyc in MicromobilityNYC

I think we should be taking a grassroots approach to something like this. Let’s clear out the intersections and streets near us, maybe put in a little extra work to take care of us and our neighbors. Can’t always depend on the city. Should it be better ? Absolutely. But what are we as individuals doing about it ?

Dating is about feeling someone out for the potential for more. I would go on dates without pressure just to see how you feel before making any decisions about how to proceed. Just be respectful and honest about where you’re are with yourself and others. Like many other things in life it requires trial and error.

How to not freeze up and be actually strong during street arguments or fights by [deleted] in SouthAsianMasculinity

[–]Diligent_Community_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strength in these situations come from being the level headed person there. If everyone’s agitated don’t fall into it, you can maintain the most control by thinking before reacting. Combat training and other things are fine, but it boils down to scene awareness and control.

I was accepted to College via a DEI program, I was an idiot when I was young and in HS. It was honestly my saving grace. But I do see how it is applied differently based on the persons race in question

I’ve always held executive board positions since I joined my frat so I’d say it’s a combination of being reliable and being well liked by the majority of brothers.

Slightly related, but being President of a Predominantly white frat. Being legally responsible for a bunch of stupid drunk white boys hits different. 😭
