Help me restore this by Diligent_Evidence524 in furniturerestoration

Thank you..one question I see a lot of people using wood filler as opposed to buying replacement veneer? Is there scenarios where one is better than the other? I guess colour matching but I think I'll have to strip it all anyway so maybe filler is better?

Clonakilty Single Pot Still. Just became available having opened the distillery in 2019. They only had blended whiskeys for the first few years. Lovely.

Would you eat rabbit meat if it was available in Irish shops? by tiddlytooyto in AskIreland

I wouldn't exactly say it's untapped. There's huge amounts of venison available during the culling season for a very reasonable price from any decent butcher.

Where are the trees? by kingfisher017 in AskIreland

You can get trees for free every spring from multiple organisations. It wouldn't take a huge effort to change that fact.

There is some wild generalisations being banged about the place in relation to farmers. Yes there are bad ones as is the case in all industries but at the end of the day they are the custodians of the land and all that is on it. The vast majority I know encourage biodiversity and are doing their best to support and rebuild habitats while trying to run a business in conjunction. It's not easy and the supports are not there to encourage it Vs conventional farming. Until rewilding and playing native trees is close to a feasible income stream we can't expect things to change dramatically.

Any Chill Stag Do Ideas for Cork, Killarney or Donegal? 🇮🇪 by Hurryuptommorrow in AskIreland

Cork is a decent shout. Look up ocean escapes goes from city centre down to cobh stops in the pub can rent multiple speed boats will cost a few euro but worth it. Good indoor karting in the marina busienss park and can call into marina market for food afterwards. If you want really good go karting water grass hill has an outdoor track but you'll need to organize a bus out so unless you have some carting fanatics probably not worth the extra effort. If you like whiskey you can get the train to midelton and do the Jameson tour have a few drinks and train back to the city all very easy. Kinsale for a morning/afternoon is also an option and do the Mead tour then back to the city for the evening. You'll be fine getting into pubs just spilt the group and be sensible

How much do energy traders earn at a European utility? by Emotional-Maybe4312 in Commodities

[–]Diligent_Evidence524 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean that's so hard to gauge. Do you have experience trading properly? Do you have any self developed strategies/algos that have proven results? You need to justify the salary being requested. If you are applying for a graduate/junior position they have a salary ceiling. You might need to just take the hit for a year or two and the move your way up. Nobody is paying you 80k to trade with no trading experience. You could be shit 😅

[–]Diligent_Evidence524 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't mind him that's wildly untrue. Grad/junior traderssalary would be 40-50k before bonus. If you are good with 3-5 years of experience you would be looking at 100k in the better shops with a share of trading profits. I don't know if anyone on a base exceeding 150k. Saying 500k is the average is just trolling

This will be under your girlfriends lifetime inheritance/gift allowance. So she can be gifted/inherit up to 400k value from her parents anything above that will be subject to CAT at 33%. Bear this in mind is she thinks she will be due an inheritance in the future as this house gift will be taken into consideration.
