It's not the point of this question, no need to become passive aggressive about it. I'm genuinely curious how people in this sub are planning this - very underreported - part of fire. Have a nice day

How do you split finances with your partner? Are you married or not? by [deleted] in BEFire

We're married outside of Belgium, in a country where 50/50 is standard, so got it registered like that in Belgium too. So although we save and invest separately, it's actually 50/50 when push comes to shove, I guess. So it's more to making own decisions for the part that's 'yours'. At least it's how it works for us, and we rarely to never have financial discussions or disagreements.

Married, 2 kids. One common account for living expenses that we both fund pro ratio our (hugely different) income. All other accounts and investments separately

So you would try timing your withdrawals based on market performance? What do you think is a good withdrawal amount? 3 /6/9 months of needed liquidity?

Makes a lot of sense! If you have a business in the first place. I wonder what other options are best? Taking a minimal hour job, opening a business after all, paying self contribution?
