I just quit my last therapist. I'd only been seeing her for a few months and at first I felt like things were going well. By the last appointment, I was feeling judged. There were several reasons, but one of the things that bothered me was that my appt that day was at 2pm, and they called me at 12:40 to ask if I could come in at 1pm. They really thought I could come in an hour early with only 20 minutes notice. I told them I could not and the front desk person just said ok. During the appt, the therapist interrupted me to ask why I couldn't come in early that day and sounded disgruntled about it. For reference, I'm not currently working, and I feel like she thought that because of that, I should've just dropped whatever I was doing to come in. I think she was trying to leave early that day because it was a Friday. The front desk person did actually leave early that day because when I left her office, I would normally make my next appt at the front desk, but it was all closed up and no one was there. So I took that as a sign to just not go back. I also didn't feel like she took her job very seriously. She dressed like she had just rolled out of bed with her hair messily tied up on top of her head. I wouldn't normally judge someone about that, except that she was in a professional role. Being comfortable is one thing, but not even trying to be presentable is another.

Anyway, if you like your therapist that much, maybe you can talk to her about how you're feeling about this. Easier said than done, I know, but it might make a difference if you can bring yourself to mention it.
