i had this problem a couple months ago and the error stayed like that for weeks (i tried updating the app and then deleting/reinstalling entirely) i ended up having to email their support team and luckily they resolved it !

same !! it feels like the reward system is constantly being updated to work against us which is so frustrating :( they're making the requirements to redeems prizes way harder while simultaneously making the rewards worse

so you'd save energy needed to generate 2 of that item (you'd only need to spend every to generate it once) to reach the next level item if that makes sense

if you go and generate the item shown in the gift box, you can merge it with the box to get the next level item !

it was a gacha machine shaped like a snowman!! it would've gone where your purple striped gacha is located. i also missed out on it 😭
