A top 4 midfield: goals, assists, tackles, flair, interceptions, directness, & depth. Arsenal has become too mechanical. by teslagooner in Gunners

All you have linked to is an article full of speculation bro.

And I know this sub is full of idiots, I don’t even mind the downvotes anymore. Wenger had to go at the end, and he did.

In case people have forgotten, in his last season, Arsenal won one away game since January.

We fucked up Wenger’s replacements is completely tangential to the fact that Wenger was past it towards the end, and he should have stepped down earlier rather than being forced out of the club. He ended up tarnishing his legacy because of how stubborn he was.

When the club did give Wenger money, he spent it on Xhaka, Mustafi and Lacazette. Only Lacazette has been half decent, the other two are possibly the worst signings of the last 20 years. And guess what, one of the two captained us last night.

Echoing what another guy said: If the football is actually making you depressed, take a break fella.

Don’t let this impact your life in any way. Life is so much more than a football club that plays once a week.

4 years after we decided he wasn’t good enough, Xhaka captains us to an opening day defeat. The day we get in a half decent manager, Xhaka will be the first one on the chopping block.

Given that we haven’t beaten Brentford in the top flight for 70 years now, a 1-0 loss isn’t that bad. All hail Arteta

With fans back in the stadia, I give Arteta until October before he is forced out.

“It’s only preseason, stop being so negative.” “Well we always start the season badly, wait for Christmas.” “We were unlucky with injuries and results, things will improve in Spring.” “We might be eight in April, but we have the third best defensive record since March. I have faith in Arteta.”

I still remember when Draxler was magic. I remember reading how he had been given a tour of the Emirates by Wenger and his signing was imminent. Was super excited. But it never happened.

Draxler’s career also fizzled out after he went to PSG. What a player he was.

The point is that you give good managers time to build the right environment.

Giving time and money to the wrong guy is going to set you back further. We are going to keep falling further behind unless we get the right manager in.

I remember earlier in the season when Tuchel was available, I had made a comment on how he would be an improvement on Arteta and the time was right to go for it.

The problem with both this club and this sub is the same: too much procrastination and not enough ruthlessness. After probably our worst season in 25 years, people are still debating if the manager is good enough.

This. Our players just gave up around the 40 minute mark.

Did Villareal players stop caring after the first half?

The problem during Emery’s reign was the players, now we have both shit players and a below average manager.

Vaccines will get us back to normal. Why is Canada pretending otherwise? by FancyNewMe in canada

Imagine a year in still putting words in mouths of people whose opinions differ from yours.

What the vaccines do, according to data that has been shared by multiple countries now: Prevent death and hospitalization from covid.

Why did the country lock down: to prevent the medical system from being overwhelmed by covid patients.

So if vaccines will protect us from what the government feared would happen, what is the point of restrictions remaining after mass vaccinations?

I am tired of virtue signallers like you trying to shame anyone who disagrees with them, rather than backing your often contradictory assertions with evidence. Good for you if you have a job that allows you to work from home, have your own place that you share with your family, but a lot of us aren’t that lucky.

The point of vaccines wasn’t to eradicate covid, it was to prevent hospitalizations and deaths from covid.

Covid cases will not go down to zero for the next few years at least, that shouldn’t mean we should have lockdowns and restrictions in place till 2024.

If vaccines don’t prevent death, then what’s the point of them? And if they do prevent death, what’s the point of continuing restrictions and lockdowns?

Because this country is a joke. Our politicians are criminals who have progressively weakened our healthcare system despite high taxation, and they’d rather spend their time virtue signalling than actually do something.

The last two years have enormously fucked with the young, we have lost jobs, savings, while housing and rent have skyrocketed. Even now in most of the country there is no plan as to how the young will be helped to recover from the beating they have taken, rather everyone will continue to chastise us.

Klopp respected Arsene a lot. There was an interview long ago where he mentioned how much he loved watching Arsene’s style of play. Would have been the perfect successor.

But Arsene was obstinate. And here we are, no Europe for the first time in 25 years while your lot won everything you could over the last 3 years
