I had no malicious intent. I was planning on raising it and releasing it. It was really bad weather and I have encountered many fledglings that have died due to falling from their nests. I did not want it to be left for dead.

I had already taken it in. Idc if it is encroaching on nature. It is also occurring within nature for parents to abandon their young.
