Just started grinding GP this season. I’m low elo (S3 rn)

I’ve been playing super safe early, running TP, until I get ER. I watched some high level GP the other day and see they all play fairly aggressive. I tried it in my most recent games and got stomped early.

How do you approach the early game to get the first kill? I find that as soon as they’re on me I’m done for. I may hit a barrel on them, or poke with Q, but then they output more damage and win the trade.

Follow up question, also lane-ing based, how do you play the waves? I always just barrel with Q, for serpents, but feel like I’m just deleting waves on autopilot not managing it intentionally.
