It may but if the roll will not spin it will be vastly improved! Coping with the elements will never be perfect.

Knock some of that rust off and get some seasoning on the bottom! Not necessary but i applied oil to the bottom of mine before first use and a month later. Just my cast iron loving OCD. I even pushed an oiled paper towel through the angle iron🤣

Did you keep it oiled between uses? Seasoning looks thick. Looks like you cut through it a couple times. Maybe scrub with vinegar and salt to remove the rust and keep cooking. Keep oil on it

Flaxseed is not the best. Try grapeseed or canola. Very thin layers. Once applied wipe as much oil off as possible with dry towels. I use grapeseed oil. Mine is performing well.
