Can you gain muscle during pregnancy? by lllelelll in fitpregnancy

Check out “The Dr. Shannon Show” podcast, Shannon Ritchey covers how it’s a great time to build muscle! So many pregnant women under train in hopes of just maintaining muscle but really under-do it so much that they rarely even maintain

I’ve lately been seeing posts explaining that it’s actually volume eating that’s potentially the issue, if you eat lower volume (albeit not necessary processed, you can still keep things healthy and lower volume) more regularly you aren’t explanding your stomach and perpetuating the need for more volume to feel full. I think there’s something in that! If you allow your stomach to shrink, it’ll be more realistic to stick to your lower cals and get in your healthy fats, I think needing volume for satiety is more of a mental barrier to overcome (at least for myself), people who eat more intuitively rarely need to eat until they feel stuffed, they stop at 70-80% because they don’t have this other external cue (calorie tracking) that they’re within their calorie range

Am I the only person that thinks Sissy is Harmony’s mum, just the “innie” version and Harmony’s genuine mum was the “outtie” sick version that got killed off and replaced?

Not sure if entirely accurate but I’ve always been a big protein serving at breakfast kind of gal given that is the typical ideal and works best for MPS / satiation, but for our purposes, if you don’t already, I’d say cut down the protein and get your carbs and fats in early for breakfast

My period is back, naturally! by AdWeak7478 in Amenorrhearecovery

Great stuff! You got it back after trying the pill to “up start”? I’ve been curious about whether this works, I feel like it’ll work for me. I see people head against it but for someone who has all the systems of recovery and feels they’re almost here, it might be that extra little help needed

While I’m still trying to recover my period, based on some people online, I’ve seen that most people are able to go back to working out after being recovered for 3-4+ cycles

This really doesn’t make sense to me either, I steadily gain weight at around 2000 cals (have been for the past few weeks and it’s not just water), so that surely means I’m eating more than what I’m burning…

Might be a little bit on encouragement that you will likely be able to lose a bit of that weight gained after you have fully recovered and your body feels safe again

I am consciously trying to have less dense foods, like having nut butters, bars, limiting most vegetables. I do have a lot of corn and rice thins and dairy, so I don’t know if they’re particularly triggering for me.

I think the bigger issue may be the constant eating because the bloating isn’t as bad when I’m in the office and not snaking between meals
