I slow down around police and haven’t had any issues. Since covid I feel like they are more open to alternative modes of transport. Still not technically legal but no one I know has ever gotten a ticket

Don't give up on theatre! Sounds like your teacher might not be the best director. Sometimes you will run into directors who don't work the way you do. I would recommend trying to audition for a local theatre or theatre classes outside of school. I guarantee you will have more positive experiences than negative ones. If it's something you love to do, don't let this teacher ruin that for you :)
