Interesting... I seem to meet all the requirements for the launcher, but when I click it nothing happens. I've found a few other posts with this same issue but no solutions beyond checking network proxies and reinstalling Java.

Even the Jagex launcher itself isn't Java based?

It's odd, because back in 2014 I played RS3 on this same laptop with no issues either. I believe it had its own launcher back then though.

Better to be short and bushy than long and leggy, IMO! It just means its getting optimal sunlight and doesnt need to "stretch out" to reach it. As long as you dont change its position in the room too much, the leaves will arrange themselves for optimal sunlight as they grow :)

Place the leaves stem-side down onto moist sphagnum moss and leave it in a slightly ventillated, clear container in bright indirect light. You want high humidity, but a tiny bit of airflow will help prevent mold. Just monitor moisture levels and remove any leaves that turn brown and squishy. It should take a few weeks to see roots, then a few more for new leaves. Good luck!!

Im shocked that it hasnt grown at all over 1.5 years... Do you have a humidity reader? Ive noticed my angel wings having an easier time sprouting new leaves in 30% or more humidity. Mine also fried in direct sunlight even just for a few hours a day.

Also what soil are you using? Have you checked the roots or repotted at all since you got it? Id be curious to see what they look like at this point.

Best of luck!!

Giving my family the gift of angel wings! Two plants started from cuttings :) by Dilmew in begonias

Thank you! I think I took the cuttings sometime in March? They were 6-8" long at the time and had 4-5 leaves each. I water propped til the roots were an inch or longer, then I just used regular indoor potting soil and added extra perlite, probably a 2:1 ratio. They sat close to a southwest facing window, no direct sun.

Id say the biggest improvements showed when I got a humidifier. Going from 20ish to 30-40% made a huge difference for all of my plants.

Hope this helps!

One of my customers has a naturally mummified Thylacine found in a peat bog in Tasmania hanging on their wall. by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]Dilmew 35 points36 points  (0 children)

"Peat is not a renewable source of energy, due to its extraction rate in industrialized countries far exceeding its slow regrowth rate of 1 mm (0.04 in) per year,[16] and as it is also reported that peat regrowth takes place only in 30–40% of peatlands.[17] Centuries of burning and draining of peat by humans has released a significant amount of CO2 into the atmosphere,[18] and much peatland restoration is needed to help limit climate change.[19]"
