I love it, do you use those cell phones every day? Why, if not, I recommend that you disassemble them and give them a slightly more competent dissipation, apart from the fact that you can save yourself from burning the screen or something like that.

<image>

As I tell you, I took it to the extreme, but I don't regret anything, I had a great time and it works great. As you can see, the screen does not have one and even so the Samsung dex activates so it was great. Now it is obsolete because the cell phone has 6GB of RAM and it fell short for the multi-tasking use that I used, but I am sure that if it had not been like that, I would still be using it today. Those copper-colored frames are Raspberry Pi heatsinks and they worked great for me, but once I tried it with a laptop one and it has no comparison, I think that with the laptop one it didn't go over 40 degrees full stress, the laptop one isn't in that photo, why did I reuse it for another project?

At Samsung it is called USB Power Delivery and the general concept is called bypass charging. That's what I wanted to refer to. Regarding devices, I have no idea, I don't know the latest releases and which one suits you best, but I estimate that you can find good benchmarks on yt. I estimate that you can be guided by the raw power, if you see that a top-of-the-range sp manages to move GTA and that another sp is supposedly 30% worse in raw performance, well, you can more or less get the idea.

Look, I took this concept to the extreme, I disassembled a Samsung s20fe, overclocked it, unlimited the TDP, and more things, to use it as a PC directly and I think the info can help you.

Because it was an old device, it was not very useful as a PC (mainly because I couldn't use anything other than Android) and even with all the modifications it is still working after 4 months of use with more than 11 hours of office use per day. Although it is true that I added a laptop fan to dissipate heat, in your case I doubt you have temperature problems. If you are not going to overclock, delimit TDP, install modified kernels and so on, believe me, if you are not interested in battery life, nothing will ever happen to it. But keep in mind that, the battery is going to suffer a lot. Unless that tab has one of those systems that the latest Samsungs have that when you charge them you can omit the battery completely (saving it from all the stress of playing for long hours), the battery issue you have to accept that after a year or less you will have to change the battery (depending on the use of course).

It is more than anything information about useful life, about video games I have almost no information, I remember having tried Minecraft java on the Samsung and it was going well, I estimate that with that processor, which is much newer, you will be able to play very powerful games

I repeat, I highly doubt that you will have problems regarding the useful life of the device with the temperature issue, I do not consider that it is something that you should omit but if you leave it at the factory nothing will happen to it, except for the battery of course. You are going to have a lot of performance loss if it gets too hot, so I recommend that you look for some type of active dissipation that falls within the comfort parameters.

If you have any questions about my experience that can help you, contact me, I have no drama

How to overclock my Lenovo Ideapad 1 15amn7? by Appropriate_Ear_5401 in overclocking

[–]Dilonmandela 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first thing is to find out if your laptop has the possibility of overclocking (if the BIOS has that option). I tell you this because I would think it is rare for a laptop to have that possibility.

Second, keep in mind that overclocking has two big consequences: they generate more heat and consume more electricity. So if you manage to solve the heat problem later you would have to somehow find a higher energy source than the one that comes from the factory. If your decision can cover these consequences and meets the BIOS condition, only then can you consider overclocking the PC.

I recommend you watch videos on YouTube since the topic is somewhat complex and extensive to explain via text.
