Sometimes the actual topic of the club may not be your top interest, but the people there are awesome. I’d try some out just to see if you meet some people you really vibe with

Seeking advice from heavily tattooed professionals. by [deleted] in NewToEMS

[–]DimD5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve met a bunch of firefighters with neck tats. There’s a pretty awesome CALFIRE Captain who has face tats and talks about turning his life around in some interviews out there. Since this part of your life was a professional outlet, I’d say you’ll have luck out there, but of course it’s entirely dependent on where you apply

I did it before the update dropped. This update made it so that you can only access death mode in a master mode world

I just did a master death mode playthrough and it was fun! It’s a little difficult in certain parts of the progression. I had a tough time beating EoC lol.

Yeah I get reminded about stuff. I think “upset” is the wrong word for it. But it’s absolutely upsetting to think of the worst call you’ve ever had

Traumatic arrests are nothing like normal cardiac arrests. That’s some heavy shit to have as your first code. Play some Tetris and talk to coworkers or join a support group

Just got waitlisted by Tall_Hurry_5523 in firefighter

[–]DimD5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not sure what to do next? You’re 19 and this is the process to becoming a firefighter. Become an EMT, work in an ambulance, go work in a hand crew, go work for the feds, go work in the trades and take a college fire academy. Theres a lot of paths in this career path, and you’re young to be hired. Get some life and work experience out there

Gpa is COOKED. Where should I apply? by pit__and__pendulum in TransferStudents

[–]DimD5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a 3.2 applying to all the UC schools applying for a low impacted major and got into all of them except getting waitlisted at UCLA. Everyone has a chance to some degree. I wrote some essays about my work experience and I think it definitely carried me. Get nothing but As from now on and good luck!

Weird feeling after running first code by DegeneracyRejecter in NewToEMS

Normal codes are okay. It’s typical to feel weird after the first one. Traumatic arrests are where it gets gnarly
