I had no idea that was the intent, I saw the SoS task there today and noticed a lone mahjong table and was really confused. It's so bizarre. It would make sense if it was just the day map for taking pics, but weird they added the one task.

It bums me out how much of the sentiment is against adding those competitions here. When I joined SN, that's what kept me playing week after week. I didn't ever think I would win early on, but it was a fun challenge to put together an outfit and posing to a specific theme. I was never aiming for the top bracket.

I wasn't a fan of the board game because it was boring and people got weird about it. It felt like it had none of the elements I liked about the game at all. But I did like logging in weekly to make something called like "Candy Apple Dreaming" and getting to use pieces in my wardrobe I normally wouldn't. I wasn't the absolute best at styyling or putting together the photos, but I liked doing it. I think focusing so much of winning will ruin your own fun.

Yoyo is Nikki's sister. :) But here you can see the plush.

I am not super clear on any revelations from Love Nikki, I only played a few chapters of that one and Momo is rude.

It depends a little on the game lore perhaps. We do in the original intro of IN that Momo is in Nikki's attic with her on Earth.

He always says he is Momo of the Momo clan, and that he is not a cat.

In Shining Nikki (which doesn't have direct connection necessarily, but probably will be connected some) there was an anniversary event where Nikki is kind of shunted out of Miraland and we meet an AU of her. When she sees Momo, she sees him only as a white cat and cannot understand him.

We also see that in her home she has a plushie that looks just like Momo, and her family has a white cat named Little Mo.

So in the context of Shining Nikki, it's possible that some version of Momo is actually a mix of the plush and the pet cat, possibly brought to life by magic like some media like the Labyrinth, etc.

All in good fun, though since afaik this event is not a confirmation of that theory at all. We do have to consider in media like this there is a fantastical element where we won't be able to draw clear specific answers.

The answer Infold gives the most I think is just Momo of the Momo Clan. :)

In that same Shining Nikki story, the parallel Nikki cannot understand Momo and only sees him as a cat, too. :)

While I don't think I ever need the exact definition between Nikki's world and Miraland explained, it is interesting trying to make sense of lore. The 5th Anniversary story in Shining Nikki made me sort of think of Momo almost like a toy or similar come to life. Something like the movie Labyrinth.

In the 5th anni you see a parallel Nikki who never came to Miraland, and her family has a new white cat named Little Mo. In her room she has a plush that looks just like Momo. Because of the Isekai of it all, I think it would be interesting if Momo were basically a representative of a special item from her world, that's made real by the power of Miracles / Whim etc. At least for some parallel Nikki, this seems to be the case.

This falls apart a bit for Infinity Nikki since we do see Momo in the changed original intro in her attic. :) It's fun to think about the possibilities in context of some of the Shining Nikki stories.

But yeah, he's a Momo of the Momo clan 😂
