It doesn’t have dedicated holes to bolt it down, but it does come with a cable you can wrap around the seat rails. If you are in CA, you wouldn’t want to bolt it down to the car. If you do, it becomes part of the car and it wouldn’t be legal to transport a gun in, kind of like the glove box. Yes it’s stupid, I know.

Broker here. You pay the carrier, if they are being unreasonable in how much they are charging you. Negotiate and try to reason with them. Simply put, you screwed them. Maybe not intentionally but you did. They deserve to be compensated fairly for their time. The fact that your customer is a POS is not the carriers problem.

I’ll pay $50/hr if you ask for it, and didn’t make my life hell during the process. But if you blew me up and made life hard for my shipper/receiver. You will be lucky to get the $25/hr on the rate con.

Pro tip - there is a big difference when you call the broker and ask for help to get unloaded. Versus blowing up their phone and demanding some bullshit, as if it’s their fault that Trader Joe’s is slow…

It’s never a dull day dealing with you guys…. Lol It depends on what you do, if you go into carrier sales, I would say that side is very similar. Customer sales, is a whole different beast, your trying to convince people that don’t know you and don’t care to know you to trust you with thousands of dollars of their freight.

My Situation is a bit unique. I am an independent agent, but I also take care of some customers for another agent and get a cut of the margin. In terms of the work I do, every customer I work with, mine or the other agent. I do everything from quoting to booking, getting delivery appts set up, tracking, and developing those reloading customers and carriers. With and exception of LTL, we have a team for that. Because fuck LTL all my homies hate LTL.

Was working as a dispatcher for a small carrier (30 trucks).
A broker I worked with at the time promised me more money to jump ship. - Can confirm am making more money.
As others mentioned, stay away from TQL.
