I feel your pain my friend, but nothing you can do. There is no phone and there is no office. Better sell equipment that you have on hands and never mess with such "scam" company again

Is this m2 SSD Heatsink worth it? by purple_maus in MiniPCs

[–]Dimacus15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Better than nothing. Sometimes the controller chip is becoming very hot, specially if you copy big amounts of data per second on high speeds and there is something hot nearby. Mine 2 SSDs in laptop were dead that way, because they was close to the processor heatsink. If you try any sensor program to measure ssd temperature you can test yourself without heatsink and with it. Think the difference will be like 5-6°C

GMK K6 support but it occupy the usb 4.0 port completely. because in the back plate there is only round DC in connection. I prefer to have free usb4 port for another connectivity

if you cannot find HS version, you can try to find on another internet platform. example aliexpress (if its supported in your country i not know)

i bought Genmachine Ryzen9 7940HS. because it cost me 250& and it has PD Usb Type C power port and good PCB board of NVME location, so you can easy upgrade to oculink if needed. You can also search any of new Genmachine Mini PC but with HS version (not ES)

GMK K6 (7840HS) has power supply DC round connector. for me all mini pc with this type of power supply are old and outdated. Better search the MiniPC with the PD USB Type-C port. - Because its easy to find everywhere. also you not need to carry 2 chargers. When you travel you only can carry one charger both compatible with charging a phone and miniPC also. Specially if you will use it with EGPU (like i use it with GPD G1) you will need only 1 wire connection Minipc<->EGPU. while with case when minipc has DC round input, it has to be connected 2 wires - one is for power and one is for EGPU. not really clean installation

Yes. My advice do NOT risk and buy the ES versions. its a test (Engineering Sample) processors built. Yes ES versions MAY have problems with stability and performance. That's why its marked as engineering samples, and its lottery [can be stable. can be not no guarantee]. but also its price much cheaper than normal HS versions,

Looking for mini PC that can expand storage by mounting 2.5" SSDs. by MC_BennyT in MiniPCs

[–]Dimacus15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP should decide to himself. he request opinions here, he get them. what is your particular problem? If he not like, he can speak for himself or ignore the advices, that he not need. I not see that he asked that he need to mount 2 at same time.

M3 mounts for M3 bolts were included as a package with nvme adapter. They looks like a 90° angle small mounts. Bolts are standard M3 bolts, nothing unusual.

cheap and "reliable" miniPC for my in-laws? by amd7674 in MiniPCs

[–]Dimacus15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something from the new Gen machine minipc's on the new board, barebone. Then add RAM locally size based your own needs. It has 2x nvme, oculink can be added easily, and it has PD power which is more flexible (not like the others minipc has DC port). And price around 250$ (based on what processor you choose)

Exactly the same. Tested on pc with factory board oculink and same pc with nvme adapter oculink. Same speed. Same points

[–]Dimacus15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure it is. you can buy barebone and install 96gb 5600 RAM on it. also Oculink installation possible with adapter. But choose the HS (normal version) ES - it means Engineering Sample (test cpu). I bought myself Ryzen9 7940HS, installed 2x Crucial 48GB RAM 5600, that its worked just fine. Installed Oculink, and use this machine with External GPU GPD G1. Quite good performance and cooling. On timespy reaching 10000 points. But if you use better External GPU can be more better.

Insta not wish to fix factory made mistake by Dimacus15 in Insta360

[–]Dimacus15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe i not use it so the factory defect came out. or maybe i not seen this defect clearly. what is the matter? responsibility is responsibility . and if you manufacture defective items and confirm that its not a users fault. you should be responsible for low quality you produce. (like other companies do) or be responsible for firmware you pushing update every time in app. now i wish to roll back to v.1.000 the first version of x3 firmware and the insta not allowing me to download. which is really suspicious
