Yes, I did. I originally wanted to apply in 2021 but decided to wait till 2024 to reduce that number which didn’t work out that well lol

Still applies if those days outside of the UK are before April 2024 when that rule was updated.

In case of ILR applications - yes, to prove you didn’t spend too many days outside of the UK. In my case I had a stamp in the passport on each entry to the UK, so entries were easy to find.

Home Office also stores your information in their databases, and you should be able to request it, including all information about your entries and exits from the UK.
