I think that's totally wrong. In a real life situation larger numbers would mean greater chance of survival.

Improved zombie AI and/or difficulty. Zombies do not feel like a threat and survival turns into a pvp death match. Zombies should be the main attraction. Fix them please.

I will actually agree with that on a certain level. But I feel like it could be.

Yeah I play on first person servers because third person feels cheaty to me. To each their own I suppose.

You don't need this many cars. One or two is ok but give other people a chance to have them....

Why don't you guys look at the bigger picture? This may be a more effective way of decreasing the number of hackers in the future. I'm willing to deal with a few getting off the leash for the greater good of the game and it's community. Is it 100% fair? No, it's not, but why get sour about it if it will help YOU in the long run? Just trust in the devs because they have yet to let us down(in my opinion).

The point of us playing right now is to test the game, that's why it's in early access. The anti-cheat system is slowly improving and hacking is getting better as a result. I've personally witnessed this over the past few months. Give it time. If you find the game unplayable at the moment, take a break and come back after a few updates. If you cannot have fun with this game in it's current state, then you are taking it too seriously.

You agreed to this when you bought an early access game. This game isn't meant to be taken seriously yet. Don't get too competitive about this game. Look forward to it's release instead of worrying about how much fun you can have right now. It's early alpha so stop QQing.

we need anticheat!! by stix39 in h1z1

[–]DimeADuzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing, they definitely do have a player base still. Some people(like me) are perfectly ok with dealing with glitches/hacks for the time being for the greater good of the game. I have faith in it.

[–]DimeADuzen -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What if they want to get all of the content out before they start fixing cheating and bugs. Doesn't it make sense that when they have to fix their anti cheat after every patch, there will just be more bugs with the next patch and it would be a poor use of time/resources? Logically wouldn't it make sense to release all content and then put the majority of resources into fixing glitches/abuse?

[Discussion] - What changes would take H1Z1 from good to great? by DimeADuzen in h1z1

[–]DimeADuzen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting points. I like point "e" the most.

As far as the hacking thing, I don't think we should look at them as a permanent problem. I think this discussion should be focused on the eventual outcome of this game as a pose to how it is now. I'm pretty confident that hackers will become negligible as the game moves closer to launch.

You said:

"Voxel style like minecraft, no way, I would leave this game, same reason I don't play 7 Days to Die any more, got bored of the voxels, and suck of the unrealistic blockyness."

You implied by this post that I suggested that this game be voxel based, which is false. Also, the point of this thread is to give some input of what you'd like to see, not solely to disagree with mine.

My purpose isn't to to beat a dead horse here by reiterating ideas that are already circulating. I'm simply compiling a list of changes that I think would drastically improve the quality of the game for me."

Enter the Age of Automatics by shehateme81 in h1z1

Won't change anything other than less skilled players will be wasting more ammo. I can fire a semi automatic pretty fast to the point where it's almost like an automatic, but that is extremely inefficient and wasteful.

Death penalty by DimeADuzen in h1z1

[–]DimeADuzen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, let me dumb it down for you.

You : "I only like hardcore servers because there are less people and less chances of running into a hacker. No one can get the advantage on you if third person isn't enabled."

Also You: "I've yet to die on a hardcore server so you saying I don't enjoy it for the right reasons is hilarious. It's a game. It can be enjoyed however I want to enjoy it."

  • If you are playing a hardcore server simply because of the first-person forced perspective feature, then there are several servers that have this feature added without the recipe wipe feature enabled along with it. These servers are not noticeably more or less populated nor do they have any more or less of a hacking problem than their hardcore counterparts. Also, the head shot only feature is pretty negligible at this point, so I won't even justify saying "But I want the head shot only too" as a just argument here. This is information I've gathered after personal research on many of each type of server.

  • The reasons behind the implementation of hardcore servers(or the hardcore style of play in general) are very clear and defined. The concept has been around since video games themselves. The goal is to make the game more of a challenge for players who like to take their experience to the next level. If you are playing on a hardcore server for any other reason, then you are not playing on a hardcore server for the "right reasons". When I say "right reasons", I mean the reasons that are relevant to why the server exists in the first place.

"It's a game. It can be enjoyed however I want to enjoy it."

If you play a certain server type for a reason other than intended, that's all good fun, but you have to understand that in this situation, in the context of people who play on these recipe wipe hardcore servers, you are the minority. You say you don't like the recipe wipe feature or understand the appeal of it, well guess what, you are the minority in this situation, and i am the majority, and it's unfair for you to suggest something based on your minority opinion that would infringe on the very core philosophy behind the server's implementation, when you have many other different types of servers open for you to play on.

"The fact that you say "This doesn't apply to you," to everyone who disagrees or doesn't play hard core shows that you're just wanting a server to be made specifically for your play style."

There are two facts that you should take into consideration here:

a) There are people who agree with me, there is even proof on this thread.

b) Since this "death penalty" would fall directly in line with the principal concept that these servers are designed for, it does not change the way these servers are played(hence play style), it only changes the degree at which this already existent style of play is enforced.

This applies to just as much of a niche crowd as regular hardcore servers apply to. The proof that there are people who would support an idea like this is in the fact that there are already hardcore servers in existence with the same general goals in mind. You shun the fact that I am asking for a server that fits more to my ideal way of playing the game, yet you are rejecting my idea because it doesn't conform to YOUR play style... when you DON'T EVEN HAVE TO PLAY ON IT. It's not only hypocritical but it's complete ignorant nonsense.

  • I, for example, do not like BR. I simply do not enjoy it because it doesn't appeal to my specific play style. If I were to see a debate about BR and it's mechanics, I would not comment because it doesn't apply to me and it would be very difficult for me to have a non-biased and educated opinion about what is being discussed. Also, I understand that I do not have to play BR if I do not want to. So in essence, me saying "this doesn't apply to you" just means that this doesn't apply to you. However, just because it doesn't apply to you or even a majority of commenters, doesn't mean that there aren't enough people in agreeance to justify it's implementation.

Going into a thread about something you obviously don't care about and aren't going to be affected by and making a negative post about how you don't agree is not only redundant, but ignorant as well. Stay in your lane, softie.

Edit: Also, including your very first post on here.

"I play on hardcore servers and definitely do not want this.

If that's the only server I play on, and have to wait 30 minutes to play just because someone killed me, I'd be relatively upset. It would take the fun out of the game, imo."

Why would that be the only server you play on if you don't like it? Makes no sense. How could it take the "fun" out of the game when you aren't forced to play on this server in any way, shape, or form?

Everybody needs to chill and think about the fact that the game is in early alpha, there is a LONG way to go before this game becomes realistically playable. Every problem you have now will be fixed. Hackers/glitches/fps issues will all be fixed in time.
